Doctor Who Series/Season 8.

I'm not really liking Clara's BF "Pink". He's too much like a recap of Rose's BF Mikey with his portrayal of jealousy over the Doctor.

Agreed, at first I thought he was going to be another companion, but no, he's just a drip.

So... Dark Water. What did y'all think?

Me: I'm a bit annoyed. Will see how that turns out in the finale and the subsequent X-Mas episode.

Not thrilled with the Master being back, but I am intrigued with "him" coming back as a female. That opens some intriguing doors for Time Lords, and the Doctor. It'd be interesting to see a female Doctor someday.

Total letdown so far, he's good, looks like he could be excellent.

She is a pain in the neck along with sappy Mr Pink hopefull they'll both be off soon.

To be honest... I absolutely hated that. Completely silly and I am already bored with the Master anyway... he's equally bland and one dimensional as a female.

Yes as interesting an idea it is for fanfic writers, I've never liked the idea of changing genders in a regeneration I just don't think the Time Lords would have wanted the regeneration process to be THAT random but if it was done as an intentional alteration or some accident in the process I suppose it could happen.

I'm getting a little annoyed with how much Clara is the focus of the story arcs this season, a companion should complement the Doctor not overshadow him. It made sense for the impossible girl story arc with her merging into the Doctor's timeline but her being the monster under his bed? Come on. And wasn't Gallifrey pre-cup of souping supposed to time locked?

I get the feeling Moffat doesn't really care all that much for those types of details, so long as the story/plot plays out the way he wants. Look at the numerous times the Daleks and Cybermen simply appeared in the series during his run of the series.

To be fair, I like some of the episodes but the Clara story at times is jarring, the missy being master revelation is the other shoe dropping for me. I hope she's just pulling the Doctor's leg and she turns out to be someone else, anybody else except the master.

Well just finished the mid-season ender and I'm less than impressed. The Master is not only a woman now
but apparently trying to be the Joker too with the whole insanity bit.
I'm having to agree with my friend at work about the season so far, the Doctor did finally grow on me, like they all do, so I don't have a problem with him so much anymore but the overall writing this season is just BAD. What happened with Moffat and his team? The whole thing has a feel of fan fiction instead of professional writers,
making the Doctor president of the world just like that, killing off the cutsie fan girl character (mary sue writer jealousy?), Master joker babe, zombie cybermen? Oh and Santa Claus to the rescue for the Christmas special!

I really wanted to see more of the master. I don't think we saw her full potential.

I really hope she comes back

Moffat has indicated that she will return.
My hope is that they start to do more with the Master than just the one dimensionality that has kind of stuck with the character since, forever.
In the finale, she was hell bent on proving to the Doctor that they are very much alike. It would be interesting if in the next series/season that the Doctor starts to believe that and goes to explore it and happens to lose control and goes darker... becoming the Valeyard which would require the Master to try to intervene... thus taking on the role of savior.

I have to admit, I enjoyed Michelle Gomez as the Master though, especially in the finale. She was a bat shit crazy Mary Poppins. :)

It was a brilliant mindfuck though of the master to tell the doctor she knew where Gallifrey is

Indeed it was... I kind of knew it was coming though. After the 50th, there's not been much of an attempt to try to find it this season long.

Several things that bug me this season, how was Clara able to travel back into the Doctor's past?

Was it because of the events of the 50th anniversary... the time lock seems to be gone now that Gallifrey is tucked away in some dimension.

Still, you'd think she would have mentioned it to the Doctor since she knew that he is trying to return home.

Additionally, if the Master has the ability to view the Doctor and Clara on some magical viewer peering into any time and place in real time, why did she not use that opportunity to fuck over the Doctor in his youth.

Unless that is a dangling thread left behind by Moffat for next year... we'll see I suppose but I wouldn't be surprised if its not.

:)

I wanted to know how Master/Misstress got into the cloud thingy. Also although he was a solider I couldn't even see the Cyberman Brigedeer actually kill the Misstress.
