It seems like most people who sew, sew for the stupidest reasons. A lot of their "products" they can live without and aren't that helpful. It makes me sick when I hear about people sewing when the product should never have been produced and is a waste of time. It's also messed up that the animal rights activists and needle & thread associations allow all of these ridiculous productions to continue. A lot of animals are being sheered and people are getting away with it. I and a bunch of other people have made due without their products and yet they keep producing the stupidest things. If I ever begin to sew every time I was able, every time someone "wanted" me to, I'd be a sewer.

"sew" :rotflmao:

I had to sew on a button to one of my straight friends dress shirts once and in return he let me...

So when do we get to see you not wearing any of their products?

Tailors and seamstresses have had a free ride for FAR too long. They must be stopped.

I don't like to sew...............I have ten thumbs and no fingers

I can't abide those knitters. In my book they are far, far more insidious than sewers! They make doilies and mittens and those weird cozies for toilet paper where they add the upper half of a doll.

Evil. Pure evil. ;)

I'm convinced they are all evil voodoo witches that are trying to destroy the world. I mean come on the whole pin cushion thing and those dolls with half their bodies ripped off..... who do they think they are kidding and why do you think they call it their craft... witchcraft you mean!!!. Whenever I see one I yell out WITCH!! WITCH!! ;)

WTF!

LOL

you guys are CRAZY.

But yes, sewers need to BE stopped.

Soon. Before they roll out all of those strangely attractive red, green, and renidner jumpers.

:)

Oh, boy, do I know what you mean.

I had a relative like that -- my grandfather's sister. She was forever gifting us with things which, while very well made, were nearly always useless, and most often absolutely hideous. One Christmas, everyone in the family was gifted with their own personal toilet-brush cover. They were done up to look like poodles. There's nothing quite like sitting on the can while being watched by this demented-looking and possibly rabid poodle, quaintly crafted out of pastel and/or florescent yarn(s).

More Evil!

Atleast you know what your getting with the crazy ones. Its those normal people you gotta watch out for. Sitting in their rocking chairs sewing away their lives just waiting to snap and sew a straight-jacket for when they get put away.

Frivolous sewing cases need to end. Seriously, just keep it tiny, compact, and discreet.

I can sew buttons on shirts.... only problems, I don't know when to stop... By the time I do stop, the button is on the shirt, but there's a knot of thread the size of my last knuckle behind it...

I limit my sewing to buttons. I have learned to use iron-on adhesive tape to repair small tears in shirts. I once made a mess trying to repair a separation of the crotch seam in my pants. I won't go there again.
