Does anybody else hate the summer?

Love the summer.
It gives us the chance to go into the back yard
and fuck a lot in the pool.
Love screwing around in a natural setting
under the rays of the sun.

I'm from the Northeast USA. I'm used to cold weather. My favorite time of year is autumn. I love the colors of the leaves turning, and that refreshing crisp chill in the air. So put my vote in the "jacket weather" column! :D

Summer, winter, it's all the same here in the SF Bay Area. Right now it's about fifty-five degrees and cloudy enough that I wouldn't be surprised if it started to rain. It was seventy-five and sunny on Christmas. We just don't have real seasons here (which is why I love it so).

But I'm with you about the heat. Anything over 70 makes me acutely uncomfortable. I hate sweating, my hair goes all limp and my face gets all shiny. I don't look good in t-shirts and shorts, I like wearing sweaters and corduroys.

On the other hand, the voyeur in me loves warm weather... the hotties start shedding right and left and there's skin everywhere. Yum!

Another summer hater here. I hate doing nothing and dripping sweat. When it's that hot, it's too hot to do anything. I don't want to drive to the beach because when I get there I have to leave th comfort of my nice cool car. I don't like the ocean it's too salty and lakes are too dirty. I do go to the ocean because hubby likes it.
The nicest thing I can say about summer is no heating bills. We don't use ac in the house because it cools down nicely here at night.
Bring on the fall. Let me smell the clean crisp air and watch the leaves change colors. Take me to the fairs and the farmer's markets. Let me cook and bake and fill the house with the great smells of cooking. Let me relax with a book on the porch with my favorite sweatshirt on. Take a romantic walk in the woods, smell the moist earth, hear and see the animals.
Hike a mountain and take in the view from the top.
Things I can do in cooler weather without breaking a sweat.
Summer, eh , not for me.

Summer kicks ass. And yes, in a good way. Of course, where I live, it rarely gets to 95, and there's no humidity.

Maybe you just live in the wrong spot. :)

90 degree weather isn't so bad. It's the fires on the mountains that suck the most.

I don't mind the heat, It's the humidity that sucks. Don't like that steamy stuff.
I live in New York on Long Island and spend a lot of time on Staten Island, plenty of beaches. :D

Run a bath of fairly cold water, and sit in that for a while. Cools you off like a dream.

Or buy a few deskfans - they're a fair investment, if you get one in every room you can keep the whole house cool on days like that. During the summer, I sleep with mine on, I just can't get a good night's rest otherwise.

I'm not a fan of extreme heat except in certain circumstances. But then again, I'm in Britain - it's not really a problem. ;)

i love the summer. sad we don't have a real summer since some years, it's raining a lot, it's cold and hardly ever any sunshine, which makes you depressive and tired.

but if summer, the hotter the better and only sunshine for 2 or 3 months. damn that would be nice.

I came to Florida because I LOVED the Hot weather most of the year ... now, that I've been here Many years ... it is just too much heat for me and I'm trying to go back to Ohio and enjoy my Springs and Falls again ... Summer won't be bad there ... BUT: I do HATE the COLD Winter(s) .... (Anything below 45 degrees ....)

I always hate the summer. I always sweat like a pig and uhhhh can hardly do anything. Love love love the winter time.

I love summer.

Our weather here in Cape Town is apparently Mediterranean - that's long hot dry summers (temperatures between November and April typically are in the high 30s) with little humidity, and our winters are mild and wet.

Summer here in Cpt is fantastic. It will be beach-weather in about 6 weeks time until next May. :D

I liked summer when I lived in San Francisco, although August was dreadfully cold, and so I would always spend most of that month in Vancouver. September was the best month, but most of the time SF was too cold. When I lived in Texas, I pretty much hated summer, but then most of the summer was above 95°, and 110° was common the first week of August. Here, I don't notice much difference between summer and winter, other than the length of days and the fact that we are overrun with tourists in summer, especially August when we got a lot of Italians. In summer I can go in the ocean without a wetsuit (late July plus August), but I can go in the winter with a full wetsuit. Last winter it was sunny all season (it should have rained a few days), but we had record breaking cold - down to 33° one night - the coldest temperature ever recorded in Venice. In the winter, I can wear dark colored T-shirts, but I put those away for summer. I wear shorts and sandals all year, but on the cold days of winter, I have to wear long pants and possibly socks and shoes. If it gets too cold here, I can take a trip to Palm Springs or Death Valley for a bit more warmth.

I think my favorite month is May. In Texas, the only months I liked were October through February. All the rest were too hot.
