does anybody still use IM anymore?

I hate them! Only place I use is at work which is required for customer service and internal communication. At home, never again.

Did it ever become unpopular?! :/

I use it every time I'm on the computer..!

I talk to some of the guys here almost nightly, and now w/ Facebook, some family and friends there now and again. Talked to my Sis-in-Law in FL this AM to wish her a Happy Easter while we were getting ready to head off to Church.

I usually sign into wlm anytime i get online, but I don't talk much on it anymore.

Been awhile since I used yahoo. Tried logging in and said I needed to update it. I'll have to get around to that.

I've never used it. Not even once. I didn't realize it was even still available.

I deinstalled Google Talk lately. If I had any friends that I talk to regularly I might install it again.

I used it alot in college but now, I almost never use it. Between work and other stuff I can't be bothered. I'd rather text.

I use skype a fair amount but that's about it.

aahhhhhh. Memories. Had ICQ since 1997. Loved the sounds! And the ability to get 6-8 contacts on one screen of different colored panels..one for each chatter. You could see the individual letters being typed to form the chat. I used to ask my contacts to send me a voice greeting in .wav format. Then I would attach that sound to the corresponding contact so that when they came online, I would hear the greeting in their voice! It was so funny.....if I left my computer on, and went downstairs to answer the door, people would come online and the voice sounded so REAL, my guest downstairs would wonder who was upstairs.

Ahhh...but in the years since, my contacts have lost interest, and moved to MSN or Yahoo Messenger...while my ICQ flower sits in my task tray just awaiting a call. Sadly, the contact list is all in the "offline" column, while I hope from a call from yesterday's cyberworld ....#-o
