I am a sick person, and I mean sick as in sick and twisted. :p


This might sound strange but as much as I hate the physical feelings of being sick, I really like the attention and stuff that I get out of it, even though I'd never admit it. It rocks! (!)

Recently I've had a laundry list of illnesses and symptoms from side effects to prescription medication and have gone through hell physically. Insomnia, nausea, loss of appetite and short term memory loss. It really sucks, but the extra attention makes me feel kind of special and people are extra nice to me. :gogirl:

I also have corporal tunnel syndrome. That means the doctor at the urgent care center gave me a neat wrist brace. It not only helped with my wrist and forearm pains, but it also looks cool and is a good ice breaker for meeting people because they always ask me about it. I got to go home early from work, which felt pretty cool. I noticed I draw a lot more attention from women with the brace on because they wanna nurse me and take care of me. I really think women like the idea of nursing a sick guy or taking care of him. lol

I'm sure this can be rooted to something like "not being loved enough" but does anyone else ever kind of enjoy the extra special attention they get when they're injured or sick?
 
UGGGH! I HATE BEING SICK! Fighting cancer was enough for me lol. I have a stomach bug today and it's awful!
 
I hate being sick because I hate being pandered to, hate being waited on, hate being watched over, and hate laying around all day. I don't know what it's like to be spoiled, showered with attention or having people care for me in a fleeting manner, so you can keep ALL of that shit if it makes you happy - it just makes me feel more worthless.

Agreed! My boyfriend has been trying to take care of me the last few days and he gets so frustrated with me when I hop and start doing something. I just can't lay around all day!
 
I meant carpal tunnel syndrome lol I never get that shit right, and I work in the medical field I should know better.

I also hate all those things and don't want anyone to do them for me, but just the thought is what counts, or I guess knowing they're concerned is kind of nice.

I guess I wish people gave a shit when I'm healthy too.
 
Luckily i'm one of those people who only gets a cold every now and then.....never had any other kind of illness....but when I do get a cold I get it good! Haha....can't say that I enjoy being sick, but I do enjoy being doped up on Nyquil :D
 
Luckily, I don't get sick very often but when I do, two things happen:
1 - I get cranky
2 - I get SUPER HORNY

I'm usually pretty healthy but I got some weird prickly heat rash this weekend. I don't want to be seen because my face is red and swollen. :(
 
I don't enjoy feeling sick but I admit I do enjoy laying around and feeling sorry for myself when I'm sick for a day or two. Then it gets boring and annoying and I want to be over it.
 
when i get a fever i get enormous cravings for sugar and i have super sensitive erections.
 
I'm fairly healthy. Contrary to most of you, I LOVE calling in sick.

Then I go to the beach, skiing or out of town chillaxing :lol:

I find that ironic because instead of being isolated you tie in being sick with being nurtured. Honestly everyone in my life is a nurturing maniac.

Here is my formula: Lay in bed for most of the day until people notice something is up and then when they ask tell them to fuck off.

I understand what you are saying.

Although for the past two months I have been doing everything I can to prevent myself from being sick because it is not a good thing to not feel well when you're the top of the food chain in your own firm. the employees and clients really don't give a shit.
