Does anyone else hate Entourage?

I can't stand this show. It's so offensive that it is nominated for so many awards. I think Jeremy Piven is the only good thing about the show. Even then he shouldnt win EVERY emmy, every year. But there's just nothing clever, witty, or original about the show itself. It's so insulting that people compare it to sex and the city for guys. It's just so dumb. The storylines and dialogue and character are horrendous. It's like high school football players write it. RANT over for now.

Wow man.... I cannot say I've ever seen it nor even heard of it. What channel is it on? What network.
Let me know and I will watch it and join you in trashing it if I hate it as much as you do.

There is nothing interesting in this show, the plotlines are all snoozefests, none of the characters are likeable or notable, if I wanted to know the ins and outs of hollywood I'd watch the E! channel.

Well I'm glad we can finally agree. I think what hate most is ALL the characters. they're all just so fuckin dumb. It's like they are all the stereotype of stupid straight guy with no personality who's only focused on boobs and nachos and beer.

I actually really liked it around Season 2 and Season 3 when they were really exploring the reverberations in the industry when a small actor makes it big and then tanks big. The show is a celebration of Hollywood excess -- wonderfully personified by Piven's character (the best thing on the show) as a selfish, narcissistic, unrestrained "id."

It's actually much better/smarter than Sex and the City (a series I despise) in my opinion but I agree that it's become tiresome and is wandering off into errancy. Vinnie Chase has become completely irrelevant to the show, Turtle is absolutely loathesome now (please, just let him die already...HIV, that would be fitting), Johnny Drama has been reduced to one note (or a set of notes that he hits over and over again) and Eric's interesting upward coming of age story (he and Ari are clearly the real stars of the show) is progressing too sluggishly now to be truly riveting.

I watch for Piven who totally deserves his Emmys. (though I would have given it to Neil Patrick Harris or Rainn Wilson this year)

How did I know you would disagree lol. I agree with your descriptions of the character. But I feel like they've always been that way. Vince's character is just so damn tired dumb and boring. Eric seems too dumb to do his job. Turtle is too dumb to tie his shoes. Drama is too dumb to operate his dick. ANd their problems are ridiculous. One time the whole episode was about how E was afraid to tell Vince he wanted a weekend alone with his "way too hot and interesting for him" girlfriend.

i almost started a similar thread for SATC. i really don't get the hype for this series. i've tried to enjoy it...didn't really work out. as for Entourage....
i wouldn't say i "totally love this show" but i do enjoy it. Ari definately makes the show. loved the feel of the 1st 2 season. barely remember the 3rd & 4th. so far the new season doesn't seem to have improved really but it's not awful.

I liked the first 2 1/2 seasons.....but now it's is just soooo boring...there are far better comedy's on air right now....it did not deserve the "Outstanding Comedy" Emmy Nom last night....that as well as Jeremy Piven's "Supporting Actor" win should have gone to "How I Met Your Mother" and Neil Patrick Harris!

All my friends still love this show and they look at me weird when I say I don't like it anymore.....but hell I still watch in hopes that it'll get better...it just doesn't though....same story every season.

I don't think I've ever hated a TV show. If a program doesn't interest me, or ceases to interest me, I stop watching it long before I start hating it.

Love the show! Always good dialogue, good situations and that the show is over before I realize it and I am usually left with a smile on my face. Love it!

I used to enjoy the show, but over the last season its turned into an embarrassing parody of itself. I think its just really tired.

Even Ari Gold is getting boring and predictable.
