does anyone else Hate gay movies?

Not all of them are bad. Some have been quite good. There are a big majority that pander to the "horndog" in all of us, so to speak, and severely lack in plot and quality content. It's fun to watch a silly gay film, but I would like to see better acting, less stereotyping and better production.

L.I.E. is good but its another pedophile movie. and the hours as like 5 min of gayness. and i wasn't referring to lesbian movies.

of all those mentioned. i did like summer storm. get real is good but the ending is depressing.
mysterious skin was interesting i guess but the kid was molested and a prostitute which r 2 redundant gay cliches. the guys in latter days were hot and so was the sex. i think that is clouding people judgement of how many parts were just plain stupid. like him cuting is leg and passing out. and that weird singing shit...c'mon? eating out also has hot guys but makes no sense? some guys gonna pretend to be gay to be with a girl who isn't even hot and looks crazy?
i just want a simple movie with a pretty simple story. that isn't about a tranny, a hustler, a crackhead, an AIDS patient, a pedophile (or victim), or a horrendous actor who can't pretend to makeout with a guy. a story where dude meets dude there's problems along the way but they kiss and make up before the end. is that too much to ask?

All Over the Guy

(sorry if you already mentioned youve seen this)

i liked Monster, because like most movies, the movie wasnt about who they are going out with. the fact that she is gay doesnt actually matter, its just who she is. although the movie is very twisted, scary, and its a true story. if you have a weak stomach dont see this movie. its very disturbing concidering its true.

There's good gay movies out there, just have to look.

Priscilla Queen of the Desert is one of them and Brokeback was another.

I saw A Touch of Pink last week and I liked it but I wouldn't call it a quality film.

I blame a small interest in them, studios aren't going to invest a lot of money into a gay film because a.) its a niche market and b.) if BBM was any indication, producing a gay film is an invitation for trouble and drama.
