Does anyone else take earplugs to the movies

That's why the movie is cranked up so loud - people won't STFU.

I wear earplugs to bars and clubs as infrequently as I go anymore...but not to movies.

>>>But i'd give you the same advice i would a person that can't take a loud concert - move back.

Having caused permanent ear damage to myself at a concert (without realizing it), I've since made ear plugs a necessity at all concerts. Not only does it minimize the damage, but it's actually interesting how much more you can discern. :)

Another reason I don't mind wearing them.

I do lately. Action type movies... they turn the level up way too high to be comfortable.

Not at movies, but ALWAYS at concerts. It astounds me how ridiculously loud most concerts are. Even with the ear plugs, I can feel the bass in my chest at arena concerts. Most people don't wear them and don't know how they can stand it.

There was one concert I came out of where the other people actually were all complaining about their ears aching. What is the point of damaging the audience's ears?

I wonder that myself. My favorite band always plays in a small setting in Portland. They use 16 huge speakers and another 8 small ones.

If I didn't know the music I wouldn't able to tell what they were playing. The room is so small I can't make out the words at all with speakers everywhere.
