  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Does ANYONE ever go to strip clubs SOBER???

It's like an art gallery where you can't spunk all over the paintings.
Oh, I know !!

Hardly any art galleries let you spunk on their paintings anymore.

It's a crying shame.

What's the point in going ?

"Whenever I have gone [to the Academy], there have been either so many people that I have not been able to see the pictures, which was dreadful, or so many pictures that I have not been able to see the people, which was worse."

-Lord Henry Wotton, from The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde.

What I think Wilde was trying to say here is that the enjoyment of any art exhibition is not predicated simply on the pieces being shown but in fact owes a great deal of it's success to the other people you see while you're there. It's as much social event as an aesthetic experience, in other words. I don't think anyone would disagree that an excellent meal becomes even better when paired with good company (and a fine vintage, of course), and it's the same with other pleasures, numinous and corporeal alike.

So--and I do believe Oscar would agree--even if the museum won't let you retouch their objects d'art with your own "white paint," some personal splatter art so to speak, the other patrons are fair game.

The club we went to is a smaller club. There was a decent crowd there, but not too big to be loud or get in the way of talking and having fun. The dancers don't just do a song or two and then disappear, but rather do fifteen to twenty minute sets, then come around and talk. The guys are mostly unpretentious and fun. It's pretty low key and just a good place to hang out and enjoy.

Thanks Killjoke for coming...

It was SO MUCH FUN meeting you!!!

The FIRST thought that popped into my head when I woke up this morning was -- MAYBE I should have tried the SOBER thing last night...

It certainly looked like you and Windsors were having a great time without the alcohol!!!

Well Thanks again for coming down -- you're a TOTAL BLAST to be around!!! :D

And THANKS again to WINDSORS for his AWESOME hospitality...

:):):)

Yeah, drinks and dim lights can make everyone look sexier for sure :) Was it the current location of Silverado's you went to, which is bigger location than the old location up on 12th?

I went to the new Silverado's. It looks cleaner that's for sure lol. It's connected to the bar next door.

I went to a straight strip club, once.

I've blocked out most of that memory, except for the part about the fairly good looking guy I saw jacking off in the urinal in the mens room.

He made no attempt to hide it, either...

By far the most enjoyable part of that drunken night.

;)
