Who on here goes to church, every single Sunday, no exceptions, come hell or high water?

My grandmother was that way. She put her money where her mouth was and was an avid church-goer. I'm not sure, but I believe she went everyday for the 6 AM service, too (in France). I'll have to ask my mother the details.

Christmas, Easter, Pentecost. Every Sunday and even an occasional weekday when I'm in Europe because of the beauty of the churches and the excellence of the choirs.

I haven't consistantly stepped foot in a church since I moved out of my mothers house. I use to tell her when I was tucked into a suit and tie that when i was grown I wasn't going to church, lol. I use to sneak in books and one time I was reading Jaws in the back pew. The last time I went to the church I was raised in, my Aunt came to visit and we had a cook out there but it was casual and just close family.

I guess going to church for your grandmother was a social gathering and she was addicted to it.
Nothing about believing then.

I did until two events occured. The first was when I was home from college for Christmas break an I would go to midnight mass with my family. During mass the priest talked through the entire sermon about how spending money on gifts was wrong and we should all be donating more money to the church. Not a mention about the meaning of Christmas, and while he had a brand new cadillac and a boat in the rectory parking lot.

The final straw was my brothers funeral. They wouldn't let my brothers urn in the church with his picture because the church doesn't believe in cremation.

That was 15 yrs. ago, haven't been back since.

Nope. I grew up in a nonreligious household and never went to church. My parents both believe in God but hated being forced to go to church as children and decided that my brother and I would be spared.

Wow, he had the balls to ask for money.
Someone should confronted him or give only 1 cent when they collect money.

Nope, I only go for weddings or family obligations.
As my father joked, "let backagain go in first to make sure the building doesn't come crashing down"

Dad's has a religious belief, I don't.
Love my Dad.
