Does anyone prefer masturbating to pictures?

Used to back when I was a teen. Prefer video these days.
 
No pictures for me. My imagination works fine. And I don't need to position the picture where I can see it, or crank my head to see the picture when I am cranking one out.

For me, I just get into a position comfortable for me, close my eyes, let my imagination get to work and whack away. And I don't need to worry about not soiling the picture with my jizz.
 
I like jacking off to pictures too. Stories as well. You can really use your imagination and come up with something hotter than any video can provide.

Videos are great too though, but they have to be just right. They can't be repetitive (IE: 20 minutes of what easily could have been an animated GIF), there can't be annoying music or straight porn playing in the background (hearing a woman whining on the TV in the background completely kills the mood for me), and the guy or guys have to be really into it. It's a turnoff when you can plainly see they're just waiting for their cheque. It would also be nice if the guys in videos were actually gay. I'm not too interested in straight guys in gay porn. Before days of the internet and VCR choice of jo action were the number of gay magazines on the market. First one recall was BLUEBOY back in late 70's. Plus others for reading and pics for jacking.

There used to be a porn publisher called Liverpool Press. I wonder what ever happened to it.

Soon after the arrival of VHS tapes, almost everyone went on to watch porn as opposed to read about it and use their imagination. I wonder if it ever adapted itself to other presentations of porn and thus, survived in another form.

Maybe the porn of yesteryear made me gravitate towards using my imagination instead of relying to pictures to get my thrill.
 
Sometimes pictures are sexier because you can imagine whatever you want with that guy. Whereas in porn videos, sometimes they spend too much/too little time doing one thing, skip something else, finish too early, etc. I normally go for video over pictures but sometimes I still go for pictures.
 
being a writer [unpublished] I can imagine my own scenes - but I use pictures and video to get ideas once in a while, or just to get off quick.

However, I've noticed that using my imagination lasts longer ;)
