Does anyone Recommend

I feel like I did see a bit of it. Not sure it's my thing. For reference, I liked Sex Education, Fleabag, Black Mirror, the Mighty Boosh guys, Garth Marenghi's Darkplace, The It Crowd (more the early seasons), Spaced, Ab Fab, Black Books...That one with the werewolf... There are some gritty detective type ones I've liked. Trying to think of the titles. Broadchurch was mighty grim. Jeepers.

You should try Line Of Duty

the original Queer as Folk (UK)?

Anyone a fan? I know Little Finger is in it.\:/

I just started watching the UK version last week It is on one of my steaming services (Showtime or Paramount+). I'm only on episode 3. So far the American version actors are cuter.

Have you ever watched Shameless? I have to say both the US and British version were enjoyable

In fact, the reason I subscribed to Showtime streaming (Prime Day special of $1.98 for 2 months) is to be able to watch the final season of Shameless (American version). As the actors are getting older, a couple are not as cute...but hey, that happens to most of us.

That's similar to the definition of racist, namely "everyone who disagrees with fabulouslyghetto". ;)

Nah I didn't make much of the uk version of QAF I rented it from the library and was astounded by how short it was 10 episodes really?! Now Showtimes QAF was fabulous it was real poignant and at times sexy as all hell! of course I was a sneaky teenager watching the dvds I secretly rented with my library card hiding them in my dresser then sneaking them back with other dvds I had checked out! Now on to other shows Like Are you being served, Grace and Favour (Are you being served? Again!) Mrs Brown's Boys I LOVE!!!!!!!!!! I only made it part way through As Time Goes by, and only the first season and 1/2 or season 2 of Viscious was any good it was like the 2nd season they kind of went way off to left field and in season 3 they kind of repeated season one! Also watched Misfits and that had its moments! Love Sex Education dunno if that one really counts as English because its done by Netflix!

I'm sure being part of the 'flix machine influences the tone in ways, but it's a British production and that shows.

Zoinks. Double post again.

Shameless is definitely the better show. I haven’t seen more than a couple clips of the British version.

Yep, I do. And I have it on DVD (both seasons)

It should be noted that there are 2 different releases of the UK DVD's...
The original one for the UK market, and a 2nd for the US market.
In the US release of it, they changed out some of the music(a real crap move to pull), and I think I heard cut a few scenes too.

So predictably lame of them.
I was going to say, love the music!

Considering that the first episode of Showtime's QAF had rimming in it I can't imagine that too much else would be off the table!

Yep.
Love the music as well. There's a reason I bought both season 1 & 2 soundtracks on CDs & one of the special releases CDs.

I don't recommend any gay media older than 15 years. It was mostly written by straight people telling their version of what they think we are. If you're just looking for hot people to trade longing, lustful gazes and something to binge, give it a try but if you want real representation and a cast that doesn't look like a bunch of models you're gonna be disappointed.

^ that’s why I’d rather read a gay themed book.
