Does anyone remember eating at Burger Chef restaurants?

my dad used to take me to Burger Chef as a kid. We lived in Massachusetts and every Tuesday night we would drive about 20 miles to New Hampshire for Burger Chef!! so much fun back then. I miss it.

There wasn't one near where I lived, but I remember stopping at them when on speech or sports trips. Teachers/coaches considered them more nutritious than MacDonalds.

Geesh. I spent over $2 for McDonald's fries yesterday.

I am glad that so many people used to enjoy Burger Chef! For a time, places like that were my family's "going out to eat" LOL. But I have wonderful memories. I would love to find a burger place that has a "Works Bar" so you could fix it YOUR way.

Last one like that that I ever saw was "Burger Works" in Colorado -- town of Rifle, IIRC. That was in the 80s. It was AWESOME.
