  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Does Cormac ever sleep?

Nor are you an orthographer
And yet you keep insisting that I should know everything (as a subtle way of attack) just because I'm an engineer. Why don't you know this? Why don't you know that? Aren't you an engineer? Never miss an opportunity to attack, I see. Always looking for something to be offended by also. All of a sudden, turn into sjw. Defender of [insert random group here].

Anyway, don't know what that is. Too lazy to look up. Don't care.

I was just posting a thread as requested. I wish I could function on 3 hours sleep. I'm kind of envious.

You get used to it. I've been running on 4-5 hours of sleep for years. My good nights are 7 but I've had nights were I get none. Last week I slept 4 hours over 3 days.

You need to take a chill pill, we're all being friendly here, are you okay ?

You've got major issues :rotflmao: I don't care if I get infracted for that or not. You need to seek help.

Cormac is off to bed now, be nice to each other people.

Good night Cormac. Hope you sleep well.

Good thread citboy, even the link. I hope Cormac and Alistair get enough sleep. I would like to be able to get by on 6 or 7 hours of sleep a night, but I need 7 or 8 for most nights.

I only sleep 4-5 hours a night. I will sleep longer when I'm dead....I hope...

The night we turned the clocks back I slept 7 hours straight....holy crap!

I have been wrecked this year with the time change....up at 4am on many days so far.

Insomnia is a real bitch, though.

For Cormac I will recommend the same as I do to everyone. No electronics in the bedroom. Go to bed the same time every night. Dark cool room. Read trash mystery novels to destress. And a sleeping pill. Don't forget the sleeping pill.

The no electronics in the bedroom advice works for some. My husband and I both look things up on our phones right before bed and we always fall asleep around 10pm and wake up (without an alarm clock) at 5:30-6am.

lack of a good nights sleep--at least 6 plus hours--- can result in confusion --irritability ---volatile personality disorder and ultimately insanity---seems about right---

I have the condition often called non-24 sleep-wake disorder - I have done all my adult life. I have no trouble at all sleeping a solid 7 or 8 hours every time - it's the time of day or night this happens that is completely haywire.

It's like living with a body clock always set at 25 hours. I mean it's never exactly that, but it means a full 'cycle' takes roughly three weeks. Half my life I am asleep all day and awake all night (or part of each) but since this has gone on for about 20 years now, I'm quite used to it.

P.S. I've been told by a sleep specialist that the cause is a lack of melatonin being produced in the part of the brain that regulates awareness of light or something like this anyway - he said it was a more common condition in the blind, but does sometimes happen to the visibly sighted too.
