Does dry masturbation cause problems?

I only masturbate dry. Like, maybe thrice a year I'll use lube, but hardly ever. Is this gonna start causing problems? The head of my penis doesn't really get firm and "ripe" (if you will.) Is this damage irreversible? If not, how do I reverse it?

Thanks.

For what it's worth, I'm 35 and have been masturbating dry most of my life. The only real problems I've had is my dick doesn't seem to be as sensitive as that of some guys and I have a bit of a rough spot on my shaft where the web of my thumb and forefinger rubs when I masturbate.

I think you should be OK.

I am uncut and have no problem doing it dry, if you are cut it might be a little harder but I don't think it will cause a problem.

You'll know if it hurts.

I don't know about it causing problems I imagine most guys do it dry.
But It feels so much better with some kind of lube, or soap in the shower.
I always prefer to lube up a bit.

It depends on your personal masturbation style.

Guys who are circumcised and use a rougher "pump" type of motion to jack-off should probably use a lube to avoid irritation and thickening of the skin on the penis.

Guys who are uncircumcised and use more of a style where they rub their foreskin against the head of their penis often don't have to use lube.

And another factor is frequency. If you're masturbating frequently, you should consider using a lube to avoid abrasion to the skin.

0.0 wtf!??!!? dry!!?!?!??!
OMG
i use olive oil....extra virgin, just like any real Mediterranean man :p

Like Edward, I have a rough area after years of dry masturbating. Tend to lube a little these days. Just helps to keep the skin moist and soft.

yeah dry masturbation hurts sometimes. Use moisture cream seems to work well. :)
