Does it bother you to be called "gay?"

Hi! ;) Well, to me, being called a lesbian has kind of a negative meaning. Besides, it is not who I am. I asked my neighbor how she sees me cause she hears me drain my boyfriend’s balls nearly every night, LOL, and she has heard me entertain girls. She said “the HOTTIE next door,” I like that! hehe LOL

I don't like it at all.

When someone asks me if a i am gay. There is just something about it that i can't embrace. I have no problem saying , i like guys and think they are hot, especially straight ones, but i don't do gay.

I prefer "gay" to homosexual. Not sure why, but the "H" word makes me cringe.

Hi, new! ;) I understand. I'm not a lesbian, I just like pussy. :p

Yeah, I dont like 'gay'. I dont even like using 'bisexual' anymore. its not even taken seriously by most gay or straight people so I switched to 'queer'. It's more accurate cause I dont have a preference...if it's sexy, I'll fuck it.

When someone asks me if I am gay I just look at them like "WTF?" and then ask them if they are straight. When they look at me puzzled, I ask them if that's a comfortable way to start a conversation.

It usually always occurs when I talk about some hot guy.

It hasn't really happened to me a lot. I'm not a fan of "homosexual" either and I get a little mad inside when I hear the word "fag"

Sorry, I don't like any of the labels. Rarely, does anyone suggest that I"m gay. I always deflect it by asking if by that they mean that I seem different. It brings on some interesting conversation in which I point out that I believe that sex is so personal that each of us ought to respect the other person's right to keep it private as well. If they don't respond to that I have a whole battery of questions to ask concerning their sexual preference and practices.

It's good strategy in my book to take the offense but without being offensive. It helps to bring the conversation back to the polite and civil. I hope it let's them understand how crude such a question can be sometimes and it allows me to better understand how and why they are so hostile at times.

We all can do a better job of informing those who we would win over to some higher level of understanding. I think it works. Call it person-to-person de-programming! Some of them really mean no harm.

Peace!

gay is the word being used more than anything else, so why be bothered by it - i am not defined to myself by any one else's word for me. but the word itself does not bother me. and it sounds better than maricon

I much prefer "Are you gay" to "Are you a homosexual". Also don't like faggot or queer which seem derogatory. Maybe the younger people don't think so, but when I was growing up, they were used as very derogatory words.

If someone asks if you are gay, you should reply " are asking for a friend, or are you asking for yourself?"
Call me Gay call me anything, just call me!

labels suck a mean dick! it's like saying a jock has to be dumb or a nerd has to wear glasses. how about we're just people who enjoy sex? my buddies just refer me as the guy who goes both ways lol

I don't mind if I'm called "gay" or "queer" or "homosexual" as long as it's said with respect. If not, I'm likely to become a trifle abusive. Unless you bring it up, it's really none of their business.

Hi, everybody! ;) Thanks for the replys. If only peeps woud be nice....

haha first of all i hate being called gay, because i'm not! sure i've only had sex with a guy, but that's because that's what i chose... it's my first relationship ever and i wasn't just gonna fuck around with every person i could. that does not mean however that i've done other stuff (oral and such) with many more people. anyway... people automaticaly assume that i'm gay just because i'm dating a guy and now a days i really don't give a fuck because i can correct them so many times but they still go back to calling me gay.

but as far as the word gay goes? gay and homosexual bother me... if u wanna go there call me faggot... i like the sound of it... and i find it hysterical how people can find it insulting.

Ya dude I totally agree w/ you. Only 3 peeps know bout my bi status...2 of my straight friends that know refer to me as the switch hitter. haha i kinda like it. but i noticed that since i told them they dont really use the derogatory words of fag, gay as much.
