Does it run in the family?

I can imagine that one or two people of my relatives could be gay, but we're all coming from of noble, christian families, raised as mama's boys, so I guess they're just straight, boring sissies. Of course I am not a sissy *cough*

Although I think being gay has more to do with the environment you're raised, I doubt it runs in the family.

Or they're just boring closet cases. :D

I have a brother and a sister (both older) and they're straight. My sister is married and my brother has always been a 'ladies man', so... and him and I are very close and have had many talks. If he was gay or bi, he'd tell me.

My mother came out to me when she was about 70 (!) (I'd already suspected it...) and her uncle was gay (gaydar tells me). Alot of her relatives seem I suspect are gay. Anybody who says it's a "choice" and not gentetic is flat out wrong (in my opinion).

I'm the only one in my family (all that I can think of) that I know is gay. But it may be that our culture really doesn't allow for it, and most people in my family aren't "revolutionary" in a way to come out.

Sometimes I've wondered about a few men from my mom's side though...

But genetics are complicated, sexuality is complicated...put the two together, and it's really, really complicated.

If it is genetic, it definitely runs in my dad's family. On my dad's family:

-Me, of course

-My cousin is a lesbian

-My aunt is bisexual

-A gay uncle

-I have always suspected my grandmother is bisexual or lesbian

-And my sister says she is bisexual but I don't know for sure.
