Does justice exist?

No

as a political activist, I have engaged in many forms of civil disobedience. Showing others that your opponent is violent usually tends to be a more effective tool for change within a society that lasts

really

I'm interested in what civil disobedience you engaged in if you don't mind telling us here.

Charlie Bronson is great, but I prefer frontier justice.

Justice only exist if I hand it out.

Now this is justice...

sometimes the innocent get hurt. Sad but it will happen.

So the end justify the means ? I strongly disagree.

I prefer to change one of my ideologies than to accept one that tries to justify a single kill/murder/manslaughter.

If society commits the same crime or harder than the accused on him, what worth is that society ? Not worthier than the crime it tries to "judge" it seems.

A measure of how developed a society is, is to see how well/bad the society treats their lowest rank members, prisonners by exemple.

Justice is a fiction that exists to the extent that we as individuals allow it to exist.

.

Martin Luther King Jr. is dead.

Does the end justify the means. Maybe or maybe not.

Maybe the assassination of Martin Luther King was the best thing that happened for the civil rights movement.

and remember the best thing that happened for the creation of Israel is the Nazis.

Would there even be an Israel today if the holocaust never happened?

Just a thought

gay rights activism. Mostly in the eighties.

Now I have developed more direct ways of affecting change politically as an activist. without having to do that.

I am not so progressive that I think people need to die to get out of my idea or my way. If you can't find a peaceful means, then you show a lack of imagination and a tend to common violence, to be honest.

Vigilante Justice is no justice, as it allows one mans terrorist to become another mans Hero and Martyr.

In some countries you can't limit yourself to peaceful means.

It's nice to be an idealist but sometimes the innocent do die for the benefit of the majority.

If you don't believe that then you just are not focusing on the reality of our existence.

and btw I don't really like violence but I will kill anyone who hurts someone I love.

Maybe. That method requires a society to pay attention to the civil disobedience.

Ghandi did it successfully 60 years ago. But if he were doing it today I'd probably consider him just another tedious, passive-agressive media-manipulator.

I disagree on all acounts :
-violence is easier, yes, but Ghandi proved that non violence can work, but it requires more strength and patience.

-" the innocent do die for the benefit of the majority." It's the moral foundation of all what I am that I can't and won't accept this. I will not personnaly kill anybody even if someone tells me it may save 10 millions other. I will try to participate in saving all.

-"If you don't believe that then you just are not focusing on the reality of our existence." When the reality of the world is morally wrong, is it not our duty to seek and change things and mentality (like, by the way, how society see homosexuality) ?

-"and btw I don't really like violence but I will kill anyone who hurts someone I love." : I won't. I don't say I will let him have his ways, but I won't kill someone, for whatever reason, I'd much prefer die myself.

1.Gandhi may have been a man of peace but then there is the partition of Pakistan from India. No matter his ideals it ended up with several hundred thousand deaths and millions of people displace

2.Killing one person if it will save 10,000,000. Really. Damn I sure wouldn't you on my side if there ever was a another holocaust.

3. The reality of our existence is that hate and violence will always exist. This is not morality its just what is and always will be. Some people die and others don't. Sometimes the wrong people will die and others who should just disappear continue to cause us misery

4. come back and answer this question when you personally know someone who was murdered. Am I bitter....you bet but I am also realistic and I know that If this person was able to murder once he/she will do it again

No justice does not exist; just like governments; just like morality do not exist - for where does it exist?
