Does Obama have a lying problem?

Nick, give it a break. Very few people are listening to your anti-Obama hate speech, and everyone else, me including, is getting tired of it. Do the democratic thing, and write to Clinton to clean up her campaign, and stop being such a Republican with this dirty politics.

And on the note of NAFTA and Harper, I am ashamed that Harper is the PM, and ashamed that Canada agreed to be apart of this mockery of a trade agreement that allows the US to rape our natural resources.

now im not taking sides on anything in here cuz i doubt anyone cares what i have to say lol. but seriously if people want clinton supporters to stop preaching hate about obama, maybe obama supporters should stop posting thread after thread of clinton hate? cuz fyi it works both ways, you want someone to stop talking shit then you should stop talking shit as well.

LOL I hear you...I find this whole tug of war very amusing...I don't have a dog in the hunt...so it doesn't matter to me one way or the other...perhaps I'll vote for Nader

Not all Obama supporters on here spout anti-Clinton speech. I try to avoid it if I can, and there are a few that I've noticed that try to avoid it.

exactly so when the obama supporters stop spreading there hate for the clintons, im sure the clinton supporters will stop preaching there hate towards obama. if you cant see and understand that, well i guess your on you own pick and chose your threads wisely to read. and with any luck youll get one that has no hate. or in your case im sure you dont mind reading one about the clintons that has the hate. cuz you showed that by your comment on the other page.

I don't hate the Clintons, I hate how they are trying to win. There is nothing wrong with pointing out the crap that they pull and how it is right out of the republican playbook. If you want to call that spouting anti-clinton speech, exactly how would you like me to put it. I was a Hillary and Barack supporter up until January and then saw what she was trying to do to win. Am I suppose to ignore it? If I write about it here then it is called anti-clinton and hating on Hillary. Why cant it just be that I am pointing out facts that are the reason I am not voting for her?

it can't be a one sided agreement with this. Either both sides stop, or the arguments will spark up again.

exactly right but you and i both know the obama freaks will not stop trying to spread hate around. wich is why i suggested you read and chose your thread titles carefully if you dont want to read about the hate. im still in the middle but as long as im not undecided if i see clinton hate from all you obama nuts that only makes me dislike the person even more. because i see the type of people he has supporting him, and i see there logic of supposenly whats right and whats wrong. whine about what there assuming but dont bother to back it up with any facts. its all childish sillyness and it wont stop till a nominee is found.

Thats nonsense Nick and you know it. While your point does hold true for 2000 it does not in other years. Accurate analogies are not always easy but in 1988 Dukakis was the Hillary candidate and people liked Bush better.....no disaster there. In 1980 Reagan was the candidate people liked better and again no disaster there. How about 1976 when Ford was the better liked candidate, but he lost and we did flirt with disaster.

The only year I claimed it held true was for 2000, so although you call my point nonsense you also concede it's true.

My point in this whole thread is not merely that Obama is better liked, it's that he's a liar. He says one thing then his actions are another and he claims accomplishments he never achieved. What we end up with when we have a likable liar in the White House is what we have today because of George Bush.

Liars screw things up. If lying didn't result in bad things, there'd be nothing wrong with it.

Barack Obama is a liar and a pretender, and so is George W. Bush. When people use the same approach they end up with the same kinds of results.

Hypocrite!

Get a hold of yourself, bud.

No need to scream.

Hillary has repeatedly 'pledged' to unilaterally renegotiate NAFT. First off, unilaterally renegotiate is a oxymoron.

Yes it is an oxymoron and I've never heard Hillary Clinton say that. She's said she will approach our NAFTA allies and tell them we need to renegotiate the agreement.

There's a huge difference between what you've ascribed to Hillary and what I've heard and read her say so would you please post a direct quote from Senator Clinton that supports your characterization? Thanks.

Secondly, NAFT was a trade deal entered into by all parties in good faith, to now renege on that deal because you wish to pander to a outdated and dying manufacturing sector is, as you would say "bending in the wind" and 'poor leadership'.

Nobody's renegging on the deal. Hillary has said we need to renegotiate it. Agreements are renegotiated all the time if they cease to be mutually advantageous. Nobody -not the US, not Canada, not Mexico- ought to want a trade agreement that isn't mutually advantageous. Hillary clearly believes a trade agreement is good for North America and will negotiate in good faith. But we do have serious problems with our economy and our dying manufacturing sector is one of them. A strong American economy benefits Canada and Mexico so it's in their interest as well as ours that trade deals keep the US economy healthy - just as it's in our interest to work with Canada and Mexico to keep their economies healthy.

Claiming that NAFT is largely to blame for your faltering economy shows just how cynical and opportunistic Hillary really is. Globalization and liberalized trade was largely an American invention and priority. That Genie is out of the bottle and for Clinton, or anyone else, to suggest you are going to somehow stuff if back in by imposing sanctions and barriers is economic suicide. She knows it's a crappy idea and a hollow promise.

She never claimed NAFTA is largely to blame for our faltering economy. That's a hot charge and you're not being truthful.

Clearly Clinton will lie, cheat and attempt to stab her closest economic allies in the back to get the nomination and presidency...without batting an eyelash.

Judging by this post of yours, what you claim Hillary has said, it's not Hillary who's lying and cheating without batting an eyelash.

Perhaps you could remind her who it is, exactly, that is sitting on one of the world largest reserves of oil in the world...That would be Canada BTW. We could just as easily sell our vast oil reserves to China while your economy freezes in the dark.

On the NAFT front Obama is no better BTW, they are both blowing smoke out of their asses.

Canadians have no reason to be worried. No American President wants to hurt Canada or her economy. We have worked reasonably well together for many years and will continue to.

Obama was 4 years old... he should've known better! What desperate nonsense, Nick...

He wasn't four years old when he made the speech referred to, and he is as capable as anyone to know the dates involved and just how they relate to his birth. None are so blind as those who will not see.

I've pointed to very specific instances that Barack Obama has lied and when his words turn out to be very different from his action. I've provided legitimate support for my characterizations. How is that dirty politics?

Two of the examples:

Obama stated clearly to an audience concerned about nuclear waste issues that he had passed legislation that required reporting of radioactive leaks. That was a lie. He let his legislation get watered down to voluntary reporting and even that legislation never got passed. That's a big lie to get votes. Further, Obama's ties to Exelon and their hundreds of thousands in campaign contributions to him after this legislation got watered down and died makes the whole thing even dirtier for Mr. I'm Going To Change How Politics Is Done. My posting about it here is not dirty politics, his capitulation to Republicans, to Exelon, and his lie to voters is dirty politics.

Obama presented a plan for all candidates to pledge to take only public financing in the 2008 race. John McCain took the pledge and Obama boasted about that (which I cheered). Now that Obama can outraise McCain he's trying to back out of that agreement -- that HE initiated. He says he's for campaign finance reform, for ethics reform. My posting about that is not dirty politics, his welching on a deal he proposed and boasted had been accepted is dirty politics.

Obama is a liar and he does not do what he promises to do. After George Bush, that ought to be a major concern for Americans and everyone worldwide.

And as for all the back and forth in this thread about hate, nothing I've posted about Obama is hateful.

Every charge I've made --that he's a liar, that his words can't be trusted-- has been supported by links to clear evidence of it.

It's not hateful to examine a candidate's record during a campaign.

Calling Hillary Clinton a bitch and a cunt -- that's hateful.

I doubt if any dirty stuff emerges from Clinton campaign central.

It has nothing to do with what Hillary wants to communicate about herself.
