  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Does success or non-success mean anything anymore?

You might think Mississippi Avenue in Portland, OR would be a black community. Nope. The traditional black neighborhood in Portland is called St. Johns. It is on the industrial north side tourists rarely see.

What do you know about Portland?

Mississippi was turned into a gentrified shithole a decade ago.

St. Johns was never a black neighborhood. Sure, it was cheaper. But the 'black neighborhood' was n/ne pdx.

Nowadays, poor black people live in the numbers.

We've rigged the economy in the States. A generation has come along with little incentive to buy into the rat race we've been selling for the last 150 years. Unlike the chattel of the Victorian era, they won't be content to slave away for the privilege to serve the rich.

Cities are overflowing with the minimally employed, the underemployed, and the unemployed. There is rise in scammers on disability.

Success will no longer be measured only by wealth. There is the intentional living movement to have less and consume less and spend less of your lives in that cube farm or drive through.

As for sperm banks, nurture and nature still prevail. It would be wise to find a donor with a high IQ. You have the rest of the responsibility to teach work ethic, creativity, play, productivity, charity, and morality.

^ You have nailed us. Millennials are dismissed because most of us have a lifestyle that is nontraditional. Most of my peers are totally engaged. I'm rural and anything outside is just so mine. If I can buy my casa it will be perfect for me; it will be rough/minimal to my elders. I have friends in the city who are all about any outing that is cultured, sophisticated, and they mostly rent also job hop, but upwards is not always the goal. My twin is very metro, but mobile. My folks are so grounded that they are happy that we are not anchored. They enjoy the fact that we hoist our sails.

Regarding sperm: Success = hitting the cup.
Non-Success = hitting the wall.
