I personally don't see the big deal. I always tend to treat internet sites like this like fantasyland. Where you can be yourself, or you can tell us all about the hot straight guys you fucked last night with your ten-inch cock. I'm more inclined to believe the guys who say they went bowling or watched Glee last night, but I'm not here for "true confessions" necessarily. I'll pretty quickly decide if you're for reals or not, and if you're not, I won't call you out on it - I'll just take what you say with a shaker of salt.

I guess that's easier for me than others. Because I may flirt from time to time, but I'm not looking or expecting anything to result from it, except a good time. :) If those photos in their gallery aren't really them, if they don't really have a ten-inch cock and an ass that won't quit, I'm not out anything - it was just playtime for me. But if I actively decided to pursue somebody based solely on their JUB persona - if I started falling for somebody based largely around their gallery photos and posts - I'd say I'd moved into dangerous waters. At that point, I'd like to think I'd be smart enough to try to move the relationship off of JUB. To ask if we could communicate via e-mail, phone, or skype. That'd help keep things in check. :)

I know who you're driving at, I was half kidding about the witch hunt, I don't care who the guy is as, unless the person actually posts, I've no reason to trust the picture anyway(IE - MOST people on the Show Yourself section, IMHO, are probably fake), and so, I guess have fun with this renewed revelation that yet another fake guy is here getting praise for his "too-good-to-be-true" pictures that he can't prove are his and eventually turns into one big sob story about how depressed he is and no one will like his real face or bla bla bla?

I'm ugly, I still post pics. The lesson is, some people need to get a grip - before they get a reality check.
 
Maybe he is using his own pictures, and or they are his pics on tumblr. Who knows. Calling other people's shit out usually is frustrating, especially if you can't expressly prove something without a doubt. All you can do is alert mods in the forum where it was posted with your reasonings and let them take it up, leaving you without the hassle of payback or possible singling out for vitriol.
 
Internet needs less bored nosey cyberbusybodies with too much time in their purposeless lives to waste in gardening other people's lives.

I think we are too caught up with the concept of dealing with real people here. It's so funny that there are people here coming to a gay porn forum (on the internet -- i have to emphasis that) and insist on speaking to "real people". Here's a better plan: trying step out of your house. Ton's of real people there.

Hey OP, you did ask what we think. Honestly, I don't know why you have investigated it. They were many cases of people misusing pictures at JUB and we dealt with it our way: flame, burn and destroy that person in a thread until a mod steps in because someone reported a post that contained a naughty boo-boo word that disturbed the delicate sensitivities of a JUBber.

Or you can inform a Mod directly and privately and they will take the moral policing from there onwards.

Frankly, I can't be bothered if I found out someone was fake. I am here to be with my friends and jerk off. Priorities checked.

It's even funnier when people are considered "real" only because you can smell them right in front of you.
Social intercourse is fundamentally the same over or beyond the net, same lies and masks, same truths and honesty.
 
Trust is the first victim of deceit. Maybe a bit of fun for someone, but, actually for some the investing of time and energy getting to know them then finding out they were fake.... Some jubbers know the feeling.
 
I don't think it's a question of discovering fakes and all that: nobody thinks of the possibility, not in this case, but in the case in which someone would be so pissed that decided the net people are not worth his time?
The bigger truth about the net, more than the lies and deceits, is that the righteousness, know-better, holier-than-thou attitude that traditionally was restricted to a few square miles and obtuse people, now sails and masters over millions of lifes and square miles of territory: different places, different attitudes of different people represent no challenge to those who are fundamentally right about anything from their birth and from being "The People" with an internet connection.

If I based on your idea of people realness, everyone who actually posted a real picture of themselves in Post Current Pics thread is immediately real. They are even more real if they answered your private messages.
