Mine does. It's white.

I think a bed looks unfinished without it, sort of industrial. What do you think?

(By the way, my boyfriend says a bed skirt is sooooo gay. Do you think it is?)

A bed needs a skirt. And what's wrong with being gay?

Mine does.

It came with the comforter set I bought...and it keeps the cats from scratching up the sides of my new mattress.

Nope, and I doubt I will ever have a bed with one.

When I do actually make my bed properly (which I don't do often), my big blanket serves the purpose just fine.

no dont need one since i have a platform bed

Gay, and it doesn't work with beds that have a head and foot umm... thing.

The word you're looking for is board.

As in, "This board is so gay."

or, "Straddle the headboard while I..."

:p

What if it's a bar or some of them?

Yes I do. It's purple satin like my swag and jabots but it is box pleated so it doesnt look so gay. Meh, I had some fabric left over and didn't want to waste it :-)

 It's still called a headboard and a footboard.

Just like a 'threshold' no longer holds thresh in the house but it's still called that.

If you have a wrought iron bed or beds with posts use a bedskirt that has slits at the corners to make fitting easier..

Use thicker material bedskirts to have them hold their shape longer..

Only buy lined bedskirts for light and pastel colors to keep light from shining through the bottom of your bed.

Is this *Helpfull Hints from Helouise?*(!)

Of course it has a bed skirt. It matches my bed linens and general decor of my bedroom. Anyone who doesn't have a bed skirt is a neanderthal.

Never. They're silly and useless.
We don't even have those in The Netherlands so it just has to be crap.

I did own a bed spread once.

They are not silly and useless....

They are not gay....

They are not all frilly and girlie.....:gogirl:

They can be very masculine with clean straight lines....

OK Vanman, you are right. I do like that one although having a platform and couldn't use it. I stand corrected. I've only seen frilly ones.

Of COURSE I do ! Otherwise, anyone that passed by could see all the empty lube bottles under the bed... ;)

..Which reminds me, I have to iron my duvet cover

I have never seen one of these in my life. Everyone uses a bed frame I don't even think they sell bed skirts here in stores. Maybe it's an American thing?
