I had one, but underneath my bed was collecting so much dust. So I got rid of it. It was pretty though...light blue curtains and white top.

* Oops, it's still there. I got rid of the mattress covers.

I have never seen one of these in my life. Everyone uses a bed frame I don't even think they sell bed skirts here in stores. Maybe it's an American thing?

We call them "valances" and they are not rare :D

Got one = box pleated, tailored and looks sharp. Don't care for the frilly sort, though. Grew up with them so I guess it's a learned decorating behavior.

Yes....

(That isn't really used by them, I hope?)

One came with my Nautica Comforter. It looked way too gay

it is also much easier to keep the under-bed area neat.

We've had one for years - we have a king, was originally a platformish bed (no head/foot board, Somma water mattress), but we still put one on under the mattress.

Now we have a king sleigh bed and still use them -- part of the linen set. Colonial/Early American decor.

And no, my wife does not think they're gay - just good decorating (and they do help conceal the under the bed clear storage containers that are loaded with our VCR/DVD collection!)

I used to have one when I was younger.

Now I don't and can't because my bed doesn't have legs, it's classed as a cabin bed. The mattress fits snugly in the side things. Mind you I've whacked my knees quite hard off it when getting in, it's rather high.

Yes, I do. Mine isn't girlie or frilly.

I wanted the look of a platform bed, but without the actual platform bed. I also wanted a way to display some beautiful pashmina shawls I got in India.

So I used a straight black bed skirt with a white duvet cover to get a clean, crisp platform for showing the shawls. Then I drape a shawl across the foot of the bed. I change the shawl out once a month or so for variety.

Gay, perhaps. Girlie, no. ..|

Yes I do. Always have. Also have shams and duvets. Does that make me extra gay?

Sure do have a bed skirt. It's simple, white, and hides all the stuff I stash under the bed. What a great storage place.

Our's are tailored to drop flat as panels.

Now they're gay, but butch gay.

Hell no! What century are you people living in?
