I saw this on the news and found it fascinating, so I looked on Youtube and found this:

Yes, I've seen it, too. Humbling, isn't it?

If I had seen this in nature, I would have thought it absolutely adorable

The fact that they're in a tank and are probably just bored out of their minds kind of detracts from the adorableness of it slightly... but only slightly

How is that possible? Shouldn't the bubbles like... rise up? Scared now. What were those dolphins blowing out

the air is actually trapped inside two counter torrents. the dolphin blows air out his blow hole, then a strong blast of water. the water he shoots out moves in a straight line. and as it does it creates a torrential effect around the water. and the air is trapped inside that torrent.

when the dolphins "grab" the ring and make another ring they are snmiply making a nother torrent system within the water. as long as that torrent is moving and of sufficient strength the air inside the water will not rise up.

Well that is...clever?

I would much prefer it if the dolphins let the bubbles rise to the top like a bubble should OR teach me how to do it.

I've long had this sneaking suspicion that dolphins are smarter than we are...

And if not smarter, than at least they know something that we don't.

Hmm.

Maybe dolphins are aquatic incarnations of the aliens that created us in the first place. That way, they can keep a close eye on us, their experiments, without raising any eyebrows.

Imagine what they must be thinking as they perform for us at SeaWorld.

"That's right humans... Just clap along and drink your overpriced beers. We'll jump through hoops for you and eat your tiny, tossed earthen fish treats. That's it, keep smiling.... Soon your servants will be your masters...."

That was beautiful to watch. I would love to be able to swim with Dolphins at some point in my life. Who knows...maybe I could learn a thing or two from them?

Thanks Gary, I liked that a lot.

as far as dolphins being "smarter than man". Please. They are beautiful creatures and deserve to be treated kindly but they are not "smarter than man." There may be a lot of exceptions walking around out there but generally speaking I don't think so.

My God gmoney, I thought maybe Bubbles was the dolphin keeper. In which case I was sure you were looking for a dauphin to keep in your own pool for daily performances with you. You blow or you do not eat. Right?

Nice thread and I am not sure why you posted this except it is entertaining, but I am personally disappointed in you. LOL. Love to you,
