Proud Boys shut down an LGBT charity event, showing up armed to the teeth. Of course if it was Muslims or BLM the response from police would've been VERY different. But the cops casually commended them for their "firearm etiquette." Because as long as the terrorists keep their rifles pointed down it's ok to intimidate and threaten to murder people.

Proud Boys vow to return if story-time event with drag performers is rescheduled (WBNS News Columbus, Ohio; December 5, 2022)

They should be commended for their firearms etiquette -- there are a lot of armed animals out there who would casually let their gun's barrel swing around and point at people; I've even encountered some at gun shows, which is pretty surprising since most people who go to gun shows practically have the four basic rules hard-wired into them. Just be glad none of these guys were like too many hunters I know who walk around with finger on trigger.

BTW, the videos in the link doesn't show anyone armed except the police.

I keep finding articles claiming the Proud Boys were dressed "head to toe" in combat gear, but so far I can't find a single video or still shot showing any combat gear or even weapons, which articles are describing as "huge" or "giant". The images of guys marching with polycarbonate shields aren't Proud Boys, BTW, they're from the "Patriot Front", a group that's into vandalism more than standing up for anything-- they're kind of a right-wing version of what right-wingers consider the Antifa folks to be except they're more prone to run away. I can't find any mention that any Boogaloo Boys showed up, which should make everyone breathe more easily: they actively seek out situations they can exploit to try to generate a new civil war and their dream is several violent events at the same time to start that war.

At long last I found a news source, NBC News, with images that match their claim -- or one image, at least:

Just out of curiosity, who can tell me the most worrisome bit of that picture?

So.... POLITE domestic terrorists. ](*,)
I wouldn't necessarily call it polite to show up dressed the way the three above are. They're just better disciplined than some.

It's also a good tactic to make a positive connection with a group you may have to persuade to back off. That's why the police sergeant who high-fived one protestor did the right thing: he found a point of common ground and both he and the protestor affirmed it.
(And if it had been the Boogaloo Boys they would likely have spit at him and told him he'll be roast pig when the revolution happens.)

the owner of the house needs to get that shitty vase away from the window...and some good curtains, maybe?

The camera is probably so they can study the footage and improve how to terrorize people. How is this not Isis dipped in vanilla?
No one is shooting or threatening to shoot anyone. ISIS would have come roaring in riding in Toyota pickups, waving weapons and firing into the air and probably tossed some IEDs to make an impression.

Though the guy with the "muffs" -- noise protection -- is certainly prepared in case there's any shooting.

Where are the Panthers when you need them? Not Black, but Rainbow, like "The Rainbow Rifles", ready to get in the faces of anyone engaging in intimidation, willing and able to show up for your event before the white hate groups arrive -- and tell them, "Hey, bros, we got this -- y'all run along home, now".

We're not bloodthirsty and horny for a gun battle.

Besides, not sure why we'd need to arm ourselves and run them off since they're there for altruistic reasons, right?

Black Panthers are a black power organization having nothing to do with LGBT seeing as how both sides insist on social and political segregation.

Their presence is the threat. Or am I to believe they were posted up to hand out hugs and kisses?

If I may be frank, this is just a contiuation of the terror this demographic has freely and joyfully inflicted on blacks, women and LGBT since the beginning of America, with no shortage of people willing to gaslight, defend and define them as everything except what they are: dangerous. This is the most perverse form of tribalism where having total power isn't enough, the need to have "the other" cowering at your feet and symbolically (or literally) begging for mercy, afraid of stepping out of their place.

Our enlightened descendants will marvel that we allowed this. They won't believe it possible anymore than we can conceive of a neighborhood grabbing picnic blankets and dragging a black man to be hung and castrated, for afternoon entertainment.

Am I tripping here? What in the name of Charlottesville: "There are very good people on both sides" is happening here?

The one you found (at long last) appears as a reference image for several news outlets.

Proper etiquette or not, one of the problems when people carry guns as a means to intimidate other people is an escalation of the associated tension. Adding firepower to that tension increases the likelihood that somebody gets hurt.

Colorado shooting prompts top drag queens to tour with armed guards and metal detectors (NBC News; December 1, 2022)
Somehow this is the America guns enthusiasts want, an eternal arms race with spontaneous gun battles all over the US, may the, eh, best man win?
