Military leaders don't have a choice in "backing" a rightfully elected President. The United States is not some banana republic where Generals can overthrow our leader. Impeachment powers are given to Congress, not to the Deapartment of Defense. If Trump can't find any of the current Generals or Admirals to back him, then he will simply fire them all and promote new ones from the lower ranks, just like any President would, and has the right to do.

He is extremely terrorifying however, and unlike you I don't pretend that just because we have political correctness that somehow makes it impossible for Trump to be elected. The people who think PC has been taken too far in this country are quite real, and if Trump gets nominated we will get to see how many of them are actually out there. Scary times.

Granted, but don't discount the effect that the military has in elections even if they don't necessarily create PACs to exhibit their choice. Also, as the military goes, an even larger defense industry follows.

The republican party should be thrilled with Donald Trump. He is, after all, the embodiment of what the party establishment has been cultivating in their base for decades. They've fed hate, anger, lies and fear, xenophobia, homophobia, racism and christo-fascism all to whip the base into an irrational frenzy and get their votes. Now they've got what they have indoctrinated into their followers; candidates like Donald Trump and Ben Carson, and the party establishment is freaking out. Not because every other republican candidate of the party doesn't spout the same coercive bullshit, albeit in a less in-your-face manner, but because Trump is not one of them. Cruz, Rubio and all the others use exactly the same tactics as Trump; just in a more subliminal fashion. The fact that Trump is number one in the polls with republican followers is exactly because that's what the party has engendered in them to support. Hillary is probably the safest candidate to vote for and the only one who might not make a mess of things with the Middle East issues. They will. In truth, on the national scale, we don't have any viable party that could be described as fascists.
