I am considering driving to Hawaii come November. Is there a milepost for the road between Alaska and Hawaii. The map my brother brought home from Geography class shows that Alaska and Hawaii are next door to each other. Does anyone know how long this drive will take??

The mile markers won't be installed until next year - there's a problem with the printers and cyrillic letters. Instead, use your sextant.

with one of these you could probably do it in a couple days

Well, i don't know. If all this talk about global warming falls through, the next theory is going to be global cooling (like it was in the 1970s).

There will likely be an ice bridge within a thousand millenia or so (if you're willing to wait)

The only way to go is to fly....

You get the plane from somewhere on the mainland (when I went , I left from Houston)

You eat your paid meal (It was still free when I went), watch the nice in flight movies, and before you know it, you are getting off the plane and getting "leid." :D

It's a pretty long drive, as I recall. And you know how often Donna needs to pee.

You might want to bring Theresa with you. Then you won't need to listen to Donna's incessant yapping the whole way there.

Drive to Hawaii???
Dude, seriously, I need to get some of what ever it is that you are smokin ;)

Too bad you don't have powers of teleportation.

Whether you kayak or sink your car, just be careful about the sharks; they're hungr-I mean horny.

That's funny. I was at Pluto last night and everyone was going gaga about the inter-volcano highway. Any chance I can hitch a ride with you guys?!

One thing I learned the last time I went....make sure to change your wiper blades. It's a bear trying to keep the windshield dry....

NOTE: I remembered a thread like this before. The OP's post is an exact duplicate post of one that he posted in March 2010. I just found the other thread. The only difference to the words in the older post is that he's replaced 'July' with 'November'. I will copy over my response from that earlier thread. ..|

Well, as you know, the U.S. is a large island. Alaska lies off the south coast of Texas.

I assume you took the road bridge from Laredo to Barrow. Now, drive along the bridge linking all of the Aleutian Islands.

Then take the new 1,000 mile bridge linking Attu Island with Honolulu. And that's your route. ..|

P.S. you can return to the U.S. mainland by taking the other bridge from Kauai to the south coast of Arizona.

Happy travelling! :D
