I've watched it a good five or six times now, and still (to this day) have no clue what the fuck that entire movie is about. From start to finish.

That said, I LOVE it. It has this creepy, mysterious tone to it... sort of like a darker version of "American Beauty." And it resonates quite well.

The Director's Cut is a bit easier to understand, although I had to watch it 3 times to totally understand it, The soundtrack is better, too!

The soundtrack is awesome! I love the dark tracks and the version of the song "Mad World" is depressing and I love it.

There's a website somewhere that is interactive and is supposed to explain things that happened after the movie ended. It was kinda stupid and didn't tell you much. I'll have to see if I can find the URL.

This is one of my favorite movies of all time. I don't even know how many times I've seen it. I own the theatrical release and the directors cut on DVD. I myself prefer the theatrical release because it explains a lot less, and lets you think it out. I just liked the feeling of "wow, I really need to think about this...." Also, the soundtrack was bitchin'.
