If YOU did not vote! If i hear one more person say that cheese ass line "not my president" im going to harm them. I really dislike the people that say "well its rigged", " my vote really doesn't matter". And there the main ones complaining about the president. If you didn't vote, or worse your not even register to vote OR your not a US citizen then shut your fucking mouth. That will be all, thats all........ Good day to you.

If someone tells me they never vote, I just assume he's a felon and get the hell away from him.

ok i will

can i bitch about stephan harper
that bastard who tried to take me rights away
last year.

But if you're looking for a serious conversation in which we can discuss why or why not someone should critique a particular individual, I suggest you try bringing up the topic in a less...hostile fashion.

:D

Like, Simma down now? :p

even tho i dont support bush, im sick of everybody complaining about him, i voted both times, so if you didnt vote you have no room to talk!

I don't vote, but I'm in England so it wouldn't be relevant to this post. Either way, frankly he's having quite an effect over here, and I know sure as fucking hell he's not my president.

So personally, I can and will complain about him. He's incompetent, he's a cheat, there is rather a lot of evidence suggesting that certainly the first election was rigged, and he got in because of business/political connections.

Incidentally, I don't vote for a particular reason. Only one party are offering something that I have use for - which is the removal of tuition fees, definitely should be looked into, although it'll come too late - however, they're useless at anything else. So frankly, I don't want them in. I don't mind Brown, since he seems to be trying to keep everyone happy by getting the other parties in on his administration. But then, that could wind up being a bad thing.

OR your not a US citizen then shut your fucking mouth.

I am not an American citizen and I will not shut my (gratuitous expeltive removed) mouth.

What Bush does effects virtually every one on the planet, and that includes me. Therefore, I believe I have the right to comment on what he does to the planet and to me.

The "shut your (gratuitous expeltive removed) mouth" comment is grossly offensive, and seems at odds for the citizen of a country which goes on and on about the rights of freedom of speech blah blah blah. Still, with a President who has continually violated the rights of his own citizens, and those of other countries, particularly Iraq, I don't expect much else.

I voted for Kerry. So I can say I didn't vote for the bozo in the oval office. Technically he is my president.

What does "not my president" have to do with not voting? Given the relatively high turnout in 2004, I think it's pretty fair to assume that people who say "not my president" did in fact vote.

Btw, I voted in 2000 and 2004, and he's definitely not my president.

people have a right to complain with the lack of total leadership and vision this individual has fostered on this country.

if you are willing to put up in silence with the actions of said president and his v.p. that is your problem, but don't try and shut down free and open speech because it does not suit you.

if you are 21, how did you manage to vote both times -2000 you would have been 15 - 16, two and a half years ago you would have been 18-19, something does not seem to fit properly unless my math is all screwed up and that is a distinct possibility.

so if you're American does that mean you shouldn't have an opinion about the leader of say... Iraq?

Not my president, and I am still entitled to complain about him, his policies are having negative effects on my country, including the reduction of our civil liberties for a little american security. I have every reason to detest the man.

oh get over yourself. its the american way to complain and protest, and you need to get used to it, or move to some communist country.

Well said Soilwork.

Meh.

Bush supporters make me want to vomit. Anyone who voted for Bush hates America and all that it stood for when it was still a great country and not the tanking third-world country it's becoming.

America is less secure than it was before.. has more enemies, fewer allies and no credibility. It's run by the people who were willing to sell it to the higest bidder.

If you dont' like my attitude, you can suck it, Comrad. And yes... I voted.. in every American election since I was old enough to do it. But even if I didn't, it wouldn't change the fact that I'm right and you're wrong.

Jasun.

Has.

Spoken.

I wouldn't mind Bush so much if he wasn't so religious, antagonizing, dimwitted, and openly hostile to 99% OF THE PEOPLE ON THESE FORUMS.

I voted for Kerry.

I don't believe Comrad meant that people in other countries should shut up about Bush--that would be like telling your neighbors not to complain when your dog shits in their yard.

My take on it was that he was ranting about people who live here in the U.S., enjoy benefits of such, and complain about it. But even then, those peoples' lives are affected by the decisions we make as citizens, and should we not be sensitive to them as well?

Personally, I only find it annoying when U.S. citizens who do not vote complain about any elected official. I remember seeing news reports in the past where people in other countries were given the right to vote and came from many miles and stood in line all day to cast their votes.

The fact that so many Americans don't exercise their right to vote is sad and frustrating, but that so many also don't understand their right is actually a responsibility to the rest of the world is infuriating.
