Jane and Finch is in the suburbs up North. The neighbourhood has come around, apparently. But it's not the violence that scares me about the area. The true horror is the suburban landscape of malls, highways, and nothingness.

Here's some kids with guns pretending to be superstars in the area:

Okay, now I get it. It's a place where people who live there embarrass the other people who live there by pretending they know their arses from holes in the ground.

Those kids need some ritalin, and some detention.

Anyway. I dunno. The other neighbourhood didn't really look that bad. It's no East Vancouver by a long shot.

I actually lived in East in Vancouver, two blocks away from Main and Hastings in Gastown. This area is kind of similar in the sense that it's where all the junkies are concentrated. It's not as bad as there, but in Gastown, I had alternate routes to avoid "Pain and Wastings". With this apartment building, I have to travel through Sherbourne and Dundas.

Hmm.

Perhaps in light of some of my previous apartments, this would be an improvement.

Unfucking believable. Too be honest, I didn't realize that it was verified as the number one violent crime corridor until I found that article. And it's concentrated within a 1 km circle around the apartment of my dreams!

This is a cruel joke on life, really.
