just for a week

didnt want u to think i died of a brain tumor or something (see robert novak story) - now that would be some obit pile on .............

headin up to Cape Cod for some R&R mainly

some biking, tennis, golf, surfing (if the conditions r right), swimming, layin on the beach and at the pool, listening to the local sports radio (WEEI), eating seafood, some great bfasting (cape is known for it - mom and pop places), maybe even some clubbing in PTown - oh yeah gonna catch a game or 2 of the cape league baseball (wooden bats) - lotsa cape towns have teams

maybe i check in once in a while to make sure the inmates r not running the asylum

gonna miss some of u - not all of u

seems like there's a lotta heat comin my way lately - kinda extra - kinda strange IMO as if alfie and/or andreus has taken over some of ur bodies or make that minds

maybe it's the hot summer

but maybe when i return ................. nah

no matter

if u have not been to the cape - GO - u will love it - just don't go while im there

JK - kinda sorta - yeah im kidding

its a wonderful place - the cape - with bay and ocean beaches - u never have to get dressed up - people r chill - my fav place on this earth

But you're most definitely going to a better place.

Swing by Orleans and take a long stroll, or a visit along Nauset Beach. It's one of my all time favorite beaches in North America.

You have to stop by and eat at The Beachcomber of Wellfleet!

If you haven't already done it, while in P-Town take a trip to the top of the Pilgrim Monument.

And know that centexfarmer has walked, visited, partied, and eaten in those places, as well as having lived on the Cape for over two years, while stationed in the Coast Guard.

greetings from CC - greatest place on earth

great weather save for today - so i did the shopping thingy in PTown

and about PTown .....................

not a big fan - hard to explain w/o sounding self loathing but it's just too over the top for me - so while it's great to be around my "brothers" something tells me i have much less in common with them save for my sexuality - not suggesting a right/wrong thingy but .............

cape cod league baseball is awesome and the boys who play r very hot - did u know that each town sponsors the team and after the games the players sit at tables on the field and eat food brought by townies - yep - its a virtual love affair - and the boys stay in homes of residents - really neat - more later

listened to 95.1 fm - laura ingraham show while lounging at the pool - she's smart but very disappointing - her topics r ridiculous - i called in (yep) and told her handler that i was a registered dem and i wanted to talk about mccain and his ads and that i was disappointed in the conservative agenda, etc. - they put me on hold then came back and said "sorry but we're talking about something else" - whereby they did a planned parenthood riff then another about UK banning the word obese from schools - kind of a anti PC riff

it hit me that the worst of the cons talk about bullshit - that red meat crap - when in reality all they have to do is talk about REAL issues - defense, security, economy, etc. - cause they have the right (haha) position on many - instead they talk about planned parenthood (taxpayer funded) blah blah blah

again Laura is very bright but instead of staying above the fray and winning with her brain she lowers herself

then this other guy Michael Carr - yikes - Rush w/o being funny

used to just like the ocean - not a fresh water guy but ................ now i love lakes - great lake near where im staying - and i have been going there every am for a swim and a laydown - go lakes

The cape is such a great place but the shitty rain all week is making me sad.

As for the CC baseball league, alot of them are actually college baseball players from all over the US that come to play "friendly ball" on the cape. Nothing better than some college jock .

I have never been to P-town and have no intention of really going down there. I feel it's too campy.

Talk radio in boston is a bit of a joke. Being the most liberal state in the Union (note: 1972 election. take that california), conservatives don't even get much of a chance to speak about anything. Although it is amusing at times, most of the people that call in remind me alot of the callers for EEI: tipical Boston pee-brains.
