LOL There are actually guys who don't get how men can be sexy and most media catering to them doesn't help.

There are so many questions on Yahoo Answers of the type - Do women find men physically attractive? And some troll answering that the female form is way better than male

lol I notice this as well. I just laugh and shake my head. Occasionally, I attempt to offer an opposing viewpoint--but it falls on deaf ears. I feel part of the issue is that even though women are sexually attracted to men, some of them feel that the female form is more 'beautiful' (if that makes sense) in comparison than the male. Then you have heterosexual men who either can't or won't admit that other men are attractive...added together...you get the "men are gross...women are gorgeous" (as if fact) bullshit.

Then to top it off, you have (i'm assuming most straight) guys out there who start to feel some kind of way (inadequate, unsure, confused) when they see other men being sexually "objectified"...they don't know how to deal with it/understand it...so they think no one should see this. Who would want to see this? and why?

There's the statement (somewhere between a joke and a truism) that "homophobia in men is the fear that a man might be looking at you the way you look at a woman". Perhaps that's related?

On the topic of the women-- it's long been my perception that many women have in their heads the idea that their ideal partner would be a female best friend with a penis. Then again, I've heard some straight men jokingly say the same thing about wishing they could put a male friend's brain into a female body. But I do think that women basically wanting a nurturing female best friend as a male boyfriend is why they're chronically unhappy with boyfriends and always blasting the whole male gender as failing at x, y and z. And again this does happen in reverse to some degree, too.

While I think the issue of "not being able to even conceive of male beauty" is very much an issue of being trapped inside one's own normalized box and not being able to see outside it, it's not like any demographic is immune to that. I have seen plenty of gay guys here say things about their physical revulsion to the thought of contact with a woman or what vaginas do to their libido that would make your hair curl. And we probably kid ourselves a bit that if gay were the majority and the "norm" in pop culture, that plenty of these guys wouldn't be saying this was simply objective fact that the female body and female sex organs were less appealing and less attractive than male ones.

Exactly look at how many views Blurred Lines has and the Diet Coke channel had to temporarily delete the video below because of the negative comments by men. I messaged them asking why they deleted it and they actually messaged back saying it'd be back for the summer and thankfully it has.
