It is unnecessary and can cause more problems than it "solves". Actually it is very necessary if you want to enjoy anal sex w/o the worries of a little "extra" you were not expecting..and what problem does it create? I have a very open minded doctor (both BF and I go to him) who informed me that you dont not use any female products at all as there are chemicals which can and will irritate the rectum...use warm water only!Of course you should check with your doctor on this and if you do not feel comfortable discussing this FIND ANOTHER DOCTOR!

a fleet enema can be purchased anywhere, there is always a way to stick water (and only water) up your ass to cleanse one's immediate self for anal sex/rimming. That and the usual shower/bath. What else is needed? Nothing that I have ever noticed.

I've never used enemas and i have never had a problem with any suprises. I mean common sense can go along way. Dont eat a ton of stuff that day, get extra squeky clean in the shower. A soapy digit can go alone way in the way of making sure your clean.i dont think any top would be offended if you excused yoruself to the bathroom before doing the deed, to check the cleanliness situation.

Enemas can loosen matter that is higher up that would "pre-enema" not have been an issue, but now comes out. It is anal sex, you can take clean seriously, but be real unless you fast for days before something could come out.

I know the itch you speak off and i jumped on a thug dick saturday night to satisfy it. The thing is though i have to # 2 today but i have not healed up and i dont want to do number 2 and risk re bruising. So i think i am going to hold it in until i am healed up.

I have never douched, it seems scary. All you have to do is do number 2 before you get pounded, that way you wont paint his penis brown.

This topic always draws extremist viewpoints on either side. Why not take a moderate approach? Do what YOU feel comfortable with. It's true that rectal cleansing is not necessary to have a pleasurable anal sex act. However, unpleasant incidents are far less likely to happen if you do do it (pun intended).

There is nothing harmful about occasional rectal cleansing. Granted, it feels a little weird (never painful) the first time, but once you're past the initial trepidation inherent to any new experience, you'll probably discover that it actually feels pretty good to be clean inside.

The regular disposable Fleet Enema (green/white box) available at any drugstore or supermarket is a good place to start. Just be sure you follow the directions and don't overuse them. It's not like you're squirting some toxic chemical solution up your ass.....it's a simple saline solution, for heaven's sake! If you don't feel clean enough after that, DON'T use a second Fleet bottle. Unscrew the cap of the one you just used, refill the bottle with lukewarm water, re-lubricate the insertion tip, and repeat the cleansing process. It's best to do all this about 2-3 hours before you get fucked.

Fleet enemas are not a simple saline solution, they contain chemicals.

There is the potential for harm - even from occasional douching. One of the known problems is that it can potentially increase the risk of contracting HIV.

These are not extremist views. These are informed views.

Would be interested in having you cite your source for the increased risk of contracting HIV. But.....duh.....your partner should be wearing a condom, anyway.

Active Ingredients: Monobasic Sodium Phosphate 19g (Saline laxative/bowel cleanser), Dibasic Sodium Phosphate 7g (Saline laxative/bowel cleanser)

Inactive Ingredients: Benzalkonium Chloride, Disodium EDTA, Purified Water

Google search the ingredients. Nothing even remotely harmful with occasional use.

Douching can be a pleasurable experience. I do it quite often, but never use any chemicals... I just use warm water while I'm in the shower. I usually do it before I wash with soap so that I can clean real good the area after douching. There is such a feeling of cleanliness that I can't explain.

But then again, I'm such a clean freak that I always shower after I poo.

UGH .. the worst! It's when you know you're hurting down there and you really have to go .. just when you think you're healing! Then you're forced to go and you feel yourself ripping apart and wishing the ground would cave in and wondering if childbirth is anything like this!

Yes I have been there ...

I may of mentioned this on some other post, but when i get the urge, i give myself a soap suds enema.

With that, i take some shavings from a bar of classic IVORY soap and mix it into warm water until its dissolved. I rinse my hole with that and then with regular warm water. Cleans me pretty good and it doesn't irritate me. Although it did give me slight cramps when i first tried it.

People have said it is dangerous, but it has been done for decades and some people swear by it.

Yes I happen to agree with you. I do the exact same thing I use 3 to 4 quarts of soap suds enema solution with a enema bag and a nozzle. There is nothing in this world for a massive cleanout. If enemas were ever to be dangerous, it would have been banned many centuries ago. Enemas have been in use for many many years and have been a mainstay back in the 30's 40's 50's and 60's. Even in today's world enemas are still used. The only enema I do not use is the FLEET'S ENEMAS they can cause problems and have a saline solution in them that can cause the colon to get severely irritated. A plain Ivory soap suds enema with warm tap water does not irritate the colon. In my opinion many of you out there should try this method of a rectal and colon cleanout and you will really have that feel good feeling before and after anal sex. :D :D

I would use a enema bag or a fountain syringe like the one you see here. It comes with a 2 or 3 quart bag, fill it with plain water or soap suds for a thorough cleanout. I never use a fleets enema it contains chemicals which are not healthy for the colon. Plain water with a little soap is okay. Thats what doctors used to recommend back in the 1960's. A enema bag gives greater water flow and its better than the fleets bottle.

We have one of those shower attachments and just use water, but only when we are about to engage in anal sex
It has a pressure adjustment on it so you can slow thw flow down
I wouldnt use anything but water, but thats me
Just go slow and don't do any damage

This is the best way to douche/enema and feel good afterward. This is especially great for anal sex.(*8*)

That's a ridiculous argument. Smoking cigarrettes is known to be dangerous, has been for years, and still isn't banned. There are lots of cases similar to that so I won't go on.

There's not a lot of good evidence to say long term enema use is safe or unsafe. It has been known to cause constipation, but there's not a lot of research done on the subject.
