This can really depend on what technology/streaming protocol the given site is using - there's lots of different ways to embed or stream video out there, but you tend to see more common methods...well, more commonly, heh. There's a number of different methods and tools depending on what you're dealing with in terms of source content. In addition to IceFier's answer, if you have Firefox you could try something like DownloadHelper. Just a general disclaimer that terms of usage of a site, or signup conditions of it, may dictate that you may not have the rights to save any streamed content or "store" it offline, but rather must experience it streamed. Just check out the terms first.Does anyone know if you can download and keep videos from pay sites? If so, how do you do it? Thanks.
Well, your original question was too general to provide specific definitive answers. There are lots of different methods of storing/streaming clips at for-pay sites, obviously designed to prevent site visitors from getting the stuff for free - different type of Flash wrappers, streaming WMV's, varying levels of authentication or even a site design that may store for-pay content differently than "free preview" stuff. It's pretty impossible for any one of us to provide a more "definitive" answer without seeing a site in action to get an idea about what kind of configuration they might be doing in terms of their multimedia content. Thanks guys. I was hoping for a more definitive answer BEFORE I paid a site. But it's very cool you took the time to provide me with an answer!
