My prayers are with you David. (*8*)

Justs do not over do the work, you need to keep you strength up.

David, I have been keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. I'm hoping they can hit it where it hurts and help you grow some healthier marrow/blood cells.

David, unfortunately I know exactly how you feel for I am in he same boat. How long I will live no one knows. It is day to day for me. I wish you better luck and a long life. (*8*)

Eight hours I was lying on the bed being drip fed into my arm what in fact was an Immunotherapy treatment rather than chemotherapy as I had thought.

The Chemotherapy starts tomorrow in the form of a large quantity of pills to swallow for the next three days. The treatment stops there until the 13th February when I have a repeat of the Immunotherapy and the following three days of pills. There will then be a final hospital visit for treatment after which the doctor will decide on a blood test to see if there has been an improvement. If yes then we continue.

No side effects apart from feeling a little tired; surprising as I spent most of the eight hours taking short naps. I have pills to take if the chemo makes me nauseous.

So apart from the time involved it looks as though the treatment will be less difficult than that for a bad bout of flu.

Spoke to the neurologue who confirmed that if the treatment works I could at least expect the problems with my legs to be stabilized and possibly improved; taking note that these, though cheering words, were suppositions until further tests were taken.

One good point is that from now on all my medical fees are reimbursed 100%.

If I want I can take sick leave for the duration of the treatment.

The hospital atMonaco has better food than the majority of cheaper restaurants in Nice. I had a wonderful chicken salad decorated with an assortment of vegetable crisps, walnuts and parmesan. A piece of cheese served with a finely chopped ratatouille on finely grated vegetables and delicious ice cream decorated with apple slices, raspberries and caramel.

Thank goodness the food is good. :D. That really is the most important. Hope all treatments are as easy. Keep us posted when you can.

I am glad everything went well today. If it makes you tired I would consider taking the time off. Wishing you all the best. (*8*)

David,
I just read about food in some of the French schools - was great. I'm glad they took such good care of you. Good luck with your chemotherapy.

I hope you see not just a stasis but an improvement to your legs.

David, not sure why I never read your blog before but glad I found it. Sorry to hear of all you have been through and wish you the best. Thank God for great medical care. All the best to you. Dan

Sunbuns99 excessive spamming of the blogs makes it really impossible to view other members' entries.

This is therefore the last entry I will be making here.

Many thanks to all those who followed me for a while and much appreciation to those who took the time to leave a comment.

David.

I will look forward to seeing you in other parts of the forum, David. I agree regarding the first statement you've made. It does get incredibly aggravating, and has deterred me from posting here, too.

Take Care,
Dustin

Not everyone thinks the way of that guy. It is your blog and much appreciated. (*8*)
