It was just God-damn awful... from Russian-speaking gypsies (WHAT THE HELL) to those all to familiar, predictable supposedly scary moments when actually the director just uses loud noise to jump at you... hrm...
If you've watched the ORIGINAL Shutter (Thai Version) or the original the Ring (Ringu- Japanese version)--- THAT'S THE SHIT RIGHT THERE. If DMTH scared you good, you'll crap your pants (and then some!) watching those movies I recommended!

If you want good horror movies, you need to watch the original "Foreign versions"......before the Hollywood tries to remake them, and destroys them.....
The next one I want to see is "Thirst"....a Japanese movie about a priest who becomes a vampire. I have heard about it, but have not yet found a full version of it on the net, or on DVD.......

I saw an interview with the actress that played the Old Woman. She said (with a laugh) that "she has been acting in movies and on stage for 40 years, and that THIS is what has gotten her recognized on the streets....."

I just watched this on blu-ray a couple nights ago. One of the best horror movies I have seen. It really is that good. It's rare for a horror film to be so fun to watch from start to end. If you haven't seen it yet, it's a definite grab for Halloween.
