So I'm just reading through a random thread, and see Dragonforce mentioned...I decide to search...and no thread about Dragonforce:eek:

So now I'm starting one :D

Any Dragonforce fans here? They rank as one of my favorite bands at the moment, and have held that for a bit.

I'd post a vid from YouTube here, but I'm on my laptop and it hates YouTube for some odd reason no one, not even the best techs, have been able to figure out. Maybe I'll get one up when I'm on my PC, or someone else can...

So anyway, who likes Dragonforce and which song(s) are you favorite(s)?

I can't wait to get Guitar Hero 3 and try it myself. Unfortunately that probably won't be until Christmas because I'm broke lol

I can just see the Rock meter going down right at the beginning when I first attempt it.

They're pretty good, although I'm a little bored of them.

Mind you, saw 'em live last year, which was nice, but they didn't play Fury of the Storm, which was disappointing.

Dragonforce is fun to listen to.

I'm obsessed with Nightwish though. Does anyone else here love them as much as I do haha

I have one of their songs, or at least, I think I do. Did they do a song for one of the Fast and the Furious soundtracks?

Nice what do you think of the new Nightwish album?

I love Nightwish, and I think the new album is decent. I can't stand Anette's voice, but I love the fact that Marco sings a lot more, so that makes up for it a bit.

....Anyway, for Dragonforce, anyone have any recommendations as to what album of theirs I should start with? I've been meaning to check them out for sometime now.

Ahh really.

I do think that Marco is showing a lot more vocal virtuosity in this album. The Islander is an amazing song. Also, so is While Your Lips are Still Red.

I was unsure about Anette at first. I love her now.

The thing with Tarja was that while she did some songs amazingly (Ever Dream, Swanheart, Sleeping Sun, Wishmaster to name a few) and had a larger range than Anette, she was not a very versatile singer.

I actually think Anette sings Come Cover Me much better than Tarja, and Ever Dream just as well in her own way. Wishmaster I like better with Tarja.

The other problem I had with Tarja was that she sounded very weird live. I was watching a live version of Ever Dream with her and I just did not like it at all.

But anyway...on to the new album:

Amaranth just kicks ass, I can't stop listening to it. Sahara, Bye Bye Beautiful, The Islander are all awesome as well. Eva and Meadows of Heaven are gorgeous.

Poet and the Pendulum... now about 85% of this song I love. 15% not so much. I feel like Tuomas could have expressed his rage in a more musical way rather than have a child talking about being raped and then Marco screaming. Personal opinion though.

I'm just glad to see their music maturing overall

I'm fairly sure I will be getting it on Wii. I've got the first Guitar Hero on PS2, and my friend has 2 and 3 on the PS2, so I figured I'd go for a different system instead of getting the same game for the same system.

And besides, I find the Wii to be more reliable than the PS2. I can't even come close to affording a PS3 and I don't have a 360 either.

Not to get off topic but I just noticed from you avatar and sig that you're an MCR fan! I love that band so much. (!)

Anyway, I've been thinking of trying this Guitar Hero thing out, which is rare for me since I own a grand total of about 7 games for the PS2 that I got for Christmas ages ago. :-)

Yeah, big time MCR fan here!

Guitar Hero is definitely a game to give a shot. There are people I know who never considered picking up a game before Guitar Hero. Sort of the same effect the Wii is having on some people.

I've got quite a few other PS2 games, but I've beaten all except Xenosaga III because I lost it and only recently found it.

Back on topic with the Dragonforce albums, I only own Inhuman Rampage right now. I have a couple other songs I got from iTunes, but I haven't been able to track down their other stuff yet. I'm not surprised stores sell out of them so fast, but I am surprised at how few I was told a store nearby stocks.
