I can't help it, I am definitely "old school" when it comes to interior decorating. I like things to complement each other.

In my living room, the drapes and carpet are complementary colors.

I have beautiful hardwood floors in the bedrooms, and would never dream of covering them. The scatter rugs do match the draperies.

In my kitchen, the no-wax flooring and draperies complement each other.

Let's say they co-ordinate

The drapes are hi-lighted

I have always had a fetish for blond/ginger/auburn/strawberry/etc. carpets, but ever since I bumped into a charming and not very old home with blond drapery and black wool I am not that sure any more
