Which one did you enjoy more, and why? All three had a great cast complete with an amazing soundtrack. I think it's a tossup between Mamma Mia! and Hairspray. I think I'd pick Hairspray.

I would have to pick Hair Spray too, I fell in love with that movie the first time I saw it. Great songs. Dreamgirls was alright but I felt it was lacking with all that melodrama.

Dreamgirls. No question.

The original Hairspray. I really enjoyed Dreamgirls, though and haven't yet seen Mamma Mia.

Dreamgirls, out of the three. However, I love Little Shop of Horrors.

Dream Girls: Jennifer Hudson ROCKED..Great Movie..

Mamma Mia: My Bi-Bud was in town and wanted to see it..So we went...It was good but too much singing...There was a song every 5-seconds...Meryl is getting too old to play the mother of 18yr olds...Come on people!!!!!

Hair Spray: I know the history of the play but not even learning John Travolta would be playing a "woman" was enough to sell me...

So between "Dream" & "Mamma" I'm going with "Dream" for telling a better story...

However, I love Little Shop of Horrors.

I LOVED "Little Shop of Horrors" so much as kid I bought the Album and wore it out..LOL........I wonder WHEN someone will be bold enough to re-make the Movie?

The 3 Female Voices shoukl be performed/played by:

1. Monica

2. Jennifer hudson

3. Fantasia

(**If one of the 3 above can't do it then throw in Countess Vaughn..She can Blow...Then There's Pink & Christian Agulera that sing like crazy...Maybe throw in Kelly Clarkson who sings her face off......Or even do a TWIST and have 3 Guys do it...)

I Loved Mamma Mia! I saw the movie and I saw it live, Two different Ball Games there. I Liked the Movie better...

Dreamgirls was the only one I made an effort to watch.

Only real complaint is that when Beyonce/Deena sung "Listen" - didn't she come off singing it as Beyonce would have rather than Dina?

I thought a major point of drama in the movie was Effie having "the voice" and Deena having "the look"? Was there any sign prior to that scene that hinted at Deena being able to blow like that?

Unless I'm just slow & the line "I found the voice you gave to me" and the whole Listen song is completely lost on me.

But good movie nonetheless.

Very good point...That song/scene was like watching "Beyonce the Star" Vs Dina the character...If I'm not mistaken Beyonce worte "Listen" and they had to put in the film in order to make her happy..

The only reason I'd cut "B" some slack is when I compare her singing to Whitney singing "The Body Guard" songs like "Whitney the Star"...."Dream Girls" & "Body Guard" featured Voices of SoulFul black women...So Beyonce & Whitney had room to play with the songs in their natural singing voice...

"Lady Sings the Blues" was a whole'notha ball-game for Diana Ross..She had to deliver the JAZZ-vocals to make us believe she was Lady-Day...Diana delivered the goods in that oscar nominated performance....

Storyline - Dreamgirls
Cast - Dreamgirls
Actual acting talent - Mamma Mia!
Songs that you could sing along to - Hairspray
