Dreamgirls NO BEST PICTURE NOM!!!!!

Brokeback didn't get snubbed either! It, like dreamgirls, was nominated all over teh friggin place. But once more last year the results were clearly homophobic because it's not like the person who got best actor portrayed a gay charcter or... o wait he did.

And are you trying to tell me a racist would make the distinction between a movie about racism and a movie with an all black cast? Honeslt now... if the voters were predominately racist NEITHER would win. This is sounding as ridiculous and desprate as Beyonce being snubbed because of "racism" and not a complete lack of acting ability.

If you like musicals (and I do,) it's a very enjoyable film, but it doesn't deserve a best picture nod.

I Totally agree. I saw the movie yesterday, and i am a huge musical fan. BUt the movie is just OK. J. Hudson is awsome, but the movie not that much.

There are different levels of racism. There is not just...perfect person, and then just complete 100% string-em-up-a-tree racist. Saying, because Crash won, that there is no racism in the Academy is just ignorant.

And YES, Brokeback DID get snubbed. It doesn't make sense that it won every other Best Picture award known to man, and yet somehow it manages to miss the Best Picture award at the Oscars especially when it DID win Best Director and Screenplay. That just doesn't make any sense. Add that to the fact that many people in the Academy did not even BOTHER to watch Brokeback because of the content, and it all comes together.
