Is yours a suit and tie kind of job or are you able to dress more casually?

I'm able to dress casually but I like to look neat, tidy and "teacherish", too. ;)

Today's getup .....

So .... how do you dress for work?

Shirt and trousers, similar to Ozguy, but I also keep a suit in the office which I can change into on the occasions when I have to go out to meetings at customers, but it is to hot to wear that here everyday.

A company uniform, blue striped shirt(called the Mobile Style by our laundry company) and blue pants. Uncomfortable polyesther material. I call it the clown suit. The part timers or newer hires get a black three button golf shirt and can wear any type of pants or shorts (but no jeans). I offered to buy my own black shirts but I was told that we are under contract with the company that we get the uniforms from and until the contract runs out we have to wear them.

I live on an island. My work clothing tends to be very casual........shorts, polo shirt and sandals. Here, formal clothing means black shorts and a clean white t-shirt ! Wouldn't trade it for the world.

Very casual no dress code at all. I do not know how you guys in suits do it, I could never wear a suit everyday. I guess you get used to it, but it is not for me.

My current assignment is business-casual, a nice shirt and pants with leather shoes. I usually wear button-down shirts with a sweater-vest (argyle for preference) and khakis; I have some nice shoes, but most days I fudge the shoe thing by wearing leather Rockport walkers (they're ever so comfortable). And on Fridays I can wear a t-shirt/v-neck combination, or a rugby or polo shirt.

My last assignment was a little more lax, I could wear jeans or t-shirts (though not at the same time), because I wasn't in the public eye.

I haven't had a tie-and-slacks assignment yet, though when I started temping I overprepared for such a dress-code. I hope my next assignment isn't tie-and-slacks as I have to lose at least fifteen pounds before I can get into the slacks I bought last year.

Some days, especially in the morning, I really miss my old job, where I wasn't in the public eye at all, and could come rolling in wearing whatever the hell I felt like (unless we were having a meeting)... most days I just wore my gym clothes so I wouldn't have a good excuse to skip the gym on my way home.

I'm pretty lucky. I work in an office but I wear shorts, a polo/henley type shirt and sandals every day. And as soon as I'm at my desk I'm barefoot, as are most of the other staff. I used to do the whole suit-and-tie thing but I'm SO glad I don't have to anymore ..|

I work for myself...but I have to be presentable...so...

Usually a pair of shorts, comfortable shoes and a (casual) collared shirt.

Jeans and casual shirt. Sometimes when in the mood scrubs, with my choice of colors. I'm lucky, I can get to set the dress code and absolutely no dress shirts and ties. Haven't worn a tie or suit in over 30 years and plan to keep it that way.

I think I work with SeanFL. That's how I dress too. :D

White shirt and black tie; grey or black tousers and a black or grey waistcoat; black shiny shoes of course.

I wear this from 7hr until I finish at night around 22hr and it doesn't matter what I have to do during the day; serving at table, a little light cleaning, polishing the brass and silver or washing the cars. I do put on a long grey apron for the dirty jobs.

I am absolutely free to choose any sort of underwear that I want. ;)

I'm a cook so the company has chef type jackets we can wear, with any type of shirt under neath it, I usually wear some type of tank top, cause it gets hot. Then we are to wear black pants or jeans, if they are not faded jeans. On the weekends I usually wear a bright colored t-shirt and apron. No requirement on shoes, tho they prefer that they are black. I have been getting my shoes from Shoesforcrews.com Very comfortable, and non slip soles, and priced very well. The company is really quite lax in what we wear, so makes it nice not to have to worry top much on what to wear every day.

Oh I forgot! If the cook is absent and I am doing the cooking and serving the meal I wear a long white apron so no one forgets that I am doing 2 persons' jobs.

I usually wear a dress shirt and dress pants. Basically a suit without the jacket. I hate wearing just regular khakis. They just never look right on me. I prefer a quality pair of slacks! (flat front and no cuff of course!!)

X2 I also wear a suit every so often.

I'm so tired of ironing everyday of my life. I even iron my jeans. lol

When I worked in a solicitors office, I had to wear a smart suit as often I would have to go to court with the barristers to carry their fucking bundles of paper :grrr: . Now however, I work for myself and because of the line of work I'm doing, dress in a scruffy way and it doesn't bother me at all. Usually it's jeans and t shirt.

Company uniform for me. White buttondown shirt 65% polyester (yuk!) and charcoal slacks.
