  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Dressing for work ....

Suit and ties everyday. I don't mind - you get taken more seriously and get better service when you are in business attire.

Business casual for me. I always wear slacks/khakis with a polo or a button down. I wouldn't mind wearing a suit and tie every day though I love a good looking man in a suit! I'd look very out of place in a suit in my office though. Some people think business casual means wear what you woke up in (ew!).

Business casual for me too. Unless I have an important meeting...then a suit. I also wear a suit to convey bad news.

I work in an office, anything goes...."beach casual" would be the best way to describe it, although I usually wear jeans and golf/polo shirts.

:-)

Usually a casual button down shirt with jeans and either sneakers or my shoes. I sit in front of a computer all day and run back and forth to the production floor so dressy clothes aren't really warranted.

The company work for is fairly casual in general. As long as one is dressed in a presentable way then there are no problems... my boss will freak if someone comes in and hasn't shaved though. I've never had that problem but he's given people razors before. It's an odd thing.

We have a very casual dress code. Nice pants (jeans are okay if they're newish and not too faded) and a nice shirt. T-shirts are okay if they're plain (or basically plain). No shorts, no sleeveless shirts, no hats, no flipflops.

My fellow employee who is a girl can get away with wearing sleeveless shirts (if she's not working with the boss) and skirts. It's very unfair in hot weather.

I think we could be more casual... I work in a bookstore, but my bosses like us to dress well. It's fine, but sometimes I'd really like to wear shorts or a less than perfect shirt. One of my bosses usually wears slacks, a button down shirt and a sweater vest.

When I finally have a real office of my own (as opposed to the extra room in my house) I'll probably wear nice jeans or slacks and a t-shirt to work.

I wear a hoop skirt and silk stockings.
You ..... TART!!!

I wear linen shirts and khakis or dress slacks. NO ties.

Ties are "intimidating", although I have about 100 of them.

No jeans, unless I am home working (like today); then I wear black jeans.

I am no fashion maven. ;)

business casual most times and suits for presentations
