Drill Farther, Baby

Halliburton must be destroyed. My friends in Texas will just have to find some other place to work.

$5 a gallon gas by Memorial Day Weekend ?

You betcha !

What ARE you talking about? This is ONE WELL. And the refining supply chain is much longer than that. This shouldn't affect prices at all.

Oh, wait. I forgot they have absolutely no conscience at all. Prices will go up because most people don't know the facts I gave above. They'll raise them because they can get away with it.

We have a winner..... ;)

Please don't misunderstand my next remark, as I have huge respect for the environment and agree with most above.

But as far as capping the well..... send in Bruce Willis. Problem solved.

Oh if it were only so easy..... I still haven't forgotten the EV spill. But as long as greed and huge, unaccountable corporations rule the world..... WE loose.

Next thing we'll be bailing out BP because they incurred such "losses". ](*,)

Sigh.... probably WILL see $5 a gallon this summer. After all, why should THEY pay for their mistakes?

Actually, it was $3,35 a gallon this morning when I filled up.

Actually if prices go up it will because of speculation on the commodities trading markets. And something like this will probably raise the price of oil in such markets.

Allen, Coast Guard commandant, said the volume of crude oil spewing from the damaged wellhead a mile deep in the Gulf of Mexico could climb to 100,000 barrels a day, with 60 days to 90 days needed for BP to drill relief wells to stem the flow. He spoke to the obvious urgency of stopping the flow of crude.

That's a lot of oil. I'm sure BP wants to get this under control as fast as they can. After all, they are loosing PROFITS by the SECOND.
