'Duck Dynasty' Under Fire Following Star's Incendiary Anti-Gay Remarks

Thanks for the link.

It still doesn't explain the difference between the rage about DD and ignoring and laughing about the Bachelor guy. I don't get it.

So Jack in your mind there's utterly no difference between one militia member somewhere saying "I hate white people" and the President of the United States saying the same thing?

I'm not sure what you trying to get me to say.

Duck Dynasty met your criteria of a southern redneck ... the ABC Bachelor dude does not -- he's fit, good looking. I think you're confusing the issue by what the people look like.

No one identifies with the Spanish-speaking bachelor as being a televised representation of typical Americans or identifies with him or views his being on the air as a representation of their slice of America. It's a glorified gameshow. It isn't depicting a real or fictional presentation of "real life."

It is clear that is exactly how fans of Duck Dynasty view the cast of the show.

So yes, there is a big difference in terms of the impact of making such a statement.

You haven't learnt yet that Buzzer always expects his prey to align themselves perfectly with his big jaws and big teeth. He demands complete obedience! That's why he's appointed himself as a lieutenant in the JUB Secret Police force.

What I expect is intellectual honesty. And if someone cannot budge themselves to illustrate any, that says something about the strength of their position. Sorry that this bugs you, as I realize it's not your strong suit either.

^ It isn't a demand for complete obedience at all. It is that little fish seem to get easily confused and swim right into the open jaws. Sometimes all he has to do is just sit and wait.

You should know that better than anyone else on JUB, Grimshaw.

….Showing any intellectual integrity in your positions.
I don't think I have ever claimed anything to do with 'intellectual-ness'.

In fact I would be interested to see if you or any 'JUB nit-picker' (not mentioning names :) ) can find any reference to me and 'intellectual-ness'.

Intellectual Integrity: Recognition of the need to be true to one's own thinking; to be consistent in the intellectual standards one applies; to hold one's self to the same rigorous standards of evidence and proof to which one holds one's antagonists; to practice what one advocates for others; and to honestly admit discrepancies and inconsistencies in one's own thought and action.

I always include the Ellipsis points (…) to indicate that some unnecessary waffle has been cut.

And the "View Post" button can easily take the reader back to the full text with waffle included. :)

Even assuming you were being honest here: then you have some profound reading comprehension problems.

But you know what you're doing. You take a few words out of a full quote and from it launch to some totally different point. It's an intentional form of evasion and derailing.

1. You must point that out next time.

2. I know you and that old Canadian like very long essays/vituperations/dummy-spits but so much of it is just long-windedness and you and that old Canadian just love the sound of your own voice going on and on in your own long-winded way

3. I may go on a tangent if the original point is dead, stale or extremely BORING! :)
