lol, doubt it. At the rate of CD sale decline now, no one will ever sell more or even as much as Madonna, Mariah, Celine, Whitney, etc.

I know Alicia Keys is set to hit the 500,000 mark and Celine is predicted to hit around 250.000. I'm so ready for Alicia and Mary J's album!

Worldwide, I think Celine holds the record...not Mariah. Even though I'm not a huge fan of Celine's, I just love the fact that she isn't some snooty skanky diva...Celine Dion's a sweet one.

You know, a woman can fake a sweet type of personality, but with Celine it isn't just some image, that's the way she really is on the inside.

A little off the topic, but has anyone heard the new Celine CD yet? It's actually pretty good- I've always thought she was corny and kind of embarrassing. Check it out, not saying its a masterpiece but I like it.

The world-sales are probably impossible to determine, but I've read before that Nana Mouskouri, despite trailing Streisand in America, is the international top-seller. For what it's worth, the Wikipedia entry says:
  • Universal Music France universalmusic.fr claims that Nana sold more than 230 million discs worldwide.
  • Universal Music Germany universal-music.de claims that she sold more than 350 million discs.
It seems likely Streisand is the top in the US, over Madonna/Mariah.

Celine is my number one power voice! Whitney possibly ties for first, but has damaged her voice so much.... Aretha is fantastic as well though.
