Dumb and Dumbstruck

I agree with Polarnyc. What's boring for me are the stories that jump immediately into some sexual encounter without giving me any indications of who the people are and some idea of what the plot is all about. Maybe I am just a romantic at heart, but I like to feel the emotions that the characters are living. If sex occurs that is an added bonus but not necessary to keep my attention. I look forward to how this story continues.

Part 13

We got back to the dorm still in high spirits music still blasting in the car, two hot guys in open shirts walking into the dorm not caring what people see or think. We went to my room, it seemed like a whole month had never happened and we were back the way we were right after the first night in the cave. We both fell back on my bed, tired as hell but still pumped up for more, it was an odd feeling.

“Come on let’s go.” I said as I stood up and grabbed my keys from the table

“Where are we going?” Eric asked as he sat up

“I’m way too pumped up, I’m heading to the cave to do some of the best bouldering in my life, I can just feel it.” I said with a smile as I walked out the door, Eric followed behind.

We crossed campus and came to the cave, I opened the door, switched on the lights, took off my shirt, shoes, socks, and hopped onto the wall. My body was loose already and I was right I was moving like a mad man, hitting every move exactly right, I crossed the ceiling like I was walking on the ground, the halls were child’s play. Eric was right there with my, not so fluid but doing better then he had ever done before. I hopped from one side of the hall to the other, landing with the lightness of a cat. My mind was gone, my hands and feet where all that there was, it was in the zone.

I got back out to the main room and let go off the wall and fell back on the soft mat, my body was covered with sweat again and Eric joined me, he was also dripping with sweat.

“You tired now?” He asked panting beside me

“I think that did the trick” I said with a smile

We laid there for awhile, catching out breath, letting out bodies cool.

“Look dude—“ Eric started

“Do not say you are sorry, we are both at fault, I acted like an idiot, immature, and a complete jerk to you, truthfully I was hurt when you told me we had to spend less time together. Tonight erased all of that and brought us back to were we were before all that happened and lets just go from there, I know I can if you can.” I said turning on my side towards Eric

“Um sure dude, but that was not what I was about to say, I had put all that behind us but I did take you with me tonight because I wanted to rebuild our relationship, see I would like to have a good friend with me to where I’m going.” Eric said with a smile

“What are you talking about?” I asked confused

“I guess you have not been to any games recently or else you would know already.” Eric said still smiling

“Spit it out before I strangle you” I said

“During the last few games recruiters have been coming to our games and I have been playing better then ever recently, our coach asked if there was anyone special we wanted to invite and I asked if he could get a recruiter from UK to come watch, he said he could and did. To make a long story short, I will be attending the University of Kentucky next semester on a basketball scholarship.

My mind went blank or into over dive, either way I could not think of anything to say, I was ecstatic but could not express it. Then all at once my mind came back and I lunged towards Eric and wrapped him in a bear hug.

“OH MY GOD DUDE, CONGRATULATIONS!!! This is great, wow, I mean, wow this a awesome man, I can’t believe it, wow” Eric had to put his hand over my mouth to stop me from going on

“There is only one problem, I have to have a C or higher in all my classes, right now I am more then fine in all classes except for biology.” Eric said

“But you have a B in there right now.” I said confused

“No I have a B minus and last semester I made a D minus, the two average for my total grade and right now I have a C minus which is enough to keep me out of UK.” Eric said depressed

I could not help but start to laugh at him for such a stupid problem

“What he hell is so funny?”

“First off the fact that you made a D minus in biology last semester did you sleep thought class I mean I know it hard but really, wow sorry that’s just sad, man wow…ok ok sorry, but in all seriousness this is not a problem, remember who you have in your corner, dude I’m going to get you an A this semester and a B minus for the course, you are joining me at UK next semester trust me.”

“Awesome man, that is exactly what I wanted to hear, now can we go to bed, I’m dead tired.” Eric said and he looked it

“No problem man, but if you plan on sleeping in my room you are taking a shower first, you stink.” I said

“Right and you smell like a bed of roses”

“Shut up” I said with a laugh as I pushed him out the door and we headed back to my room.
 
I like it! I felt just as much excitement as Jason reading this last chapter. The bond is stronger now which can lead us towards more intriguing circumstances. I eagerly await the new installment.

Part 14

“I call first shower,” Eric said as we walked into the room.

“Not if you want hot water,” I said walking pass him into the bathroom.

“What do you mean?”

“The hot water pipe is broken and they just patched it over but that killed the water pressure so I fixed it myself at the expense of convenience, you can only have hot water in the shower or sink at one time, right now it is hooked up to the sink.”

“Right and you knew how to do this how?”

“My dad and granddad taught me all they knew about working with tools and stuff so I am a regular handy man when I want to be.” I said as I unscrewed the valve and reconnected it.

“All they knew?”

“Yep knew, past tense they are both dead, along with my grandma, mom and her parents and my aunt and uncle, pretty much my entire family, have a cousin out there but we do not talk much.”

“Damn man I’m sorry”

“Don’t be you had nothing to do with it, but I know what you mean and thanks but I’m fine now it happened a couple years ago.”

“If you don’t mind what happened?”

“Plane crash, it was supposed to be a family vacation during the summer but I had a job that I could not get away from for two weeks. I stayed for just one but everyone else stayed for two and their plane crashed on the return trip, engine failure or something like that, no survivors. At least they saved me from any funeral expenses,” I said with a laugh, and it was a real laugh my family had always found the funny side of things and I never forgot that.

“Wow man that sucks, so you have been on your own since then?”

“Well not alone that would be illegal, my neighbors became my guardians till I turned eighteen, they were an older couple who were good friends and they liked having someone in the house who could help out with things”

“Cool so you have a place to go home to then?”

“Nope they are dead as well, died this summer just past, thankfully I was eighteen by then so there were no legal issues and I was my own man.”

“Lord one after another, maybe I should not be hanging out with you; people seem to die around you.”

“Ha-ha does seem that way, but I’ve touched you and you have not dropped dead yet…”

“Right let’s not go there, I like being alive I get to eat”

“Alright shower is ready, I’ll let you have the first, just don’t use up all the hot water, I want one too you know, or else I’ll have to use you to warm me up,” I said with a mocking grin on my face as I walked out of the bathroom.

I put my clothes away and got the top bunk cleaned off ready for Eric to use, he took a pretty quick shower and came out with a towel wrapped around his waist, and I think I drooled a little but headed into the bathroom so he would not be able to tell. I don’t know if he used all the hot water or not, I needed to take a cool shower for many reasons.

I got out from the shower, dried off, and came back into the room to find that Eric was already asleep, it was impressive actually. I changed into a clean pair of boxers and got into bed as well and fell asleep pretty fast myself, I was beat and just didn’t realize it.
 
Part 15

The next morning brought a very warm and sunny day, it felt great outside as Jason walked to breakfast. There was a cool breeze that made the weather that perfect temperature that everyone enjoyed. The campus was quite this early on a Saturday morning and the café was empty except for the few other early risers and the kitchen staff. Jason sat at a table outside and enjoy the weather as the sun continued to climb. There would be students out sun bathing, playing games, and talking walks to enjoy the nice weather, Jason could not wait till next semester to be able to enjoy this all on a much larger scale.

Eric stirred in the bed and opened his eyes; he focused on where he was then remembered. He leaned over and looked at the bed under him to find it empty, he figured Jason was at breakfast. He lay back down, put his hands behind his head and looked up at the ceiling, for some reason he was in a really good mood. Eric thought back to last night and his smile broadened, the club had been a blast, he would have to take Jason again sometime, the guy could dance.

Eric took in a big breath and let it out slowly. He slipped out from under the covers and lightly landed on the cool floor. Eric walked to the window and opened the blinds, letting the warm light in, the sun was up and the day was beautiful, the world was full of new color inviting everyone to come enjoy the beauty. Eric looked around the room and realized that he didn’t have any clothes to wear besides the one he had on for the party last night. He looked through Jason’s drawers and found a pair of shorts he fit into and headed to his room to get some clothes.

Jason walked back to his room a little before noon figuring he had given Eric enough time to sleep in, if he was still in bed it was time to get up anyways. Jason was a little sad to see the room empty when he entered but he saw that Eric had left his clothes so he would be back, and there was still Mondays quiz as well. That was still tomorrow night and there was a warm beautiful day to enjoy, Jason was not about to waste it, he was missing the feel of real rock under his fingers and the mountains were calling.

Eric knocked on the door when Jason was finishing up packing his bag; he walked in to give Jason his shorts back and inquired what he was doing. Jason told him he was going climbing for the rest of the afternoon, Eric wanted to come but Jason told him not this time, he would have to teach him how to belay on the wall first then he could come. Jason also wanted some alone time, especially after last night, it was all he could do from grabbing Eric by the collar and pulling him into a kiss and if he was alone in the woods with him he would not be able to hold himself back.

Jason got into his truck and headed off to his climbing area, not a spot but a whole side of a mountain that he had stumbled upon while wondering around last semester hiking, he had told anyone it existed, he was going to miss this for sure. The area was perfect, plenty of places to climb from beginning to expert level, tons of places to set up a tent a camp, a running stream for water, the place was magical and he was going to have to leave it behind for someone else to find, but today it was all his.

Gear rack over his shoulder and gear at his hips, rope in the bag on his back, Jason was ready to go, some chalk on his hands and he took his first hand hold and pulled himself onto the wall.
 
I'm wondering when Eric's going to make his move. Great update, Simon.
 
mmmmmmmm starting to think that Jason and Eric will be dead before anything will happen. Is it just me or is it a tad slow!!

I agree with all your regular fans here ( of course I'm one of them!) that the pace of the story is fine. (*8*)My only critic will be the chapter could have been longer and maybe adding more sexy scenes? It's time to see some sparks between these two lol. :sex:
 
Can't rush into things. That's when everything seems to fail or at least doesn't last. And these two have a bond already started. Keep it coming.
