“Lunch?” Eric asked as we left the class room

Anyways the place is really amazing one you get to the Inn, its on top of a mountain with little cabins build around the main house, it’s really more of a Bed and Breakfast to be exact. I have known Susan and her family for years, since I was little; my family vacationed there all the time. With spring here they are going to start getting busy, right now Susan dose not have the place looking like she would like, it’s only her and her Grandmother there right now so there is a lot of work and not enough workers. If we go up there all we have to do is some yard work and basic maintenance, in return we get free room and board anytime we go visit. It will be a lot of fun and we would have the whole mountain pretty much to ourselves, what do you say.” I said, finishing explaining.

Part 27

The drive to Fox Hollow Inn took a few hours; most of that time was spent on back roads. The country side got more and more remote as we drove on, the entire time going over and around mountains, deeper and deeper we went, going twenty minutes or more at a time without seeing a single house. Finally we crested the hill and came out on top of a mountain into the bright sun light. I had told Eric the Inn was on top of a mountain but I don’t think he quite understood what I meant until now. Here you had a 360 degree view of the area, all around you could see other mountain ranges for miles and miles, the air here was pristine, the sky a blue like you have never seen, the trees were shades of green not found any where else, this was the closest thing that I knew to paradise.

I stepped out of the truck and breathed in the clean air. I heard screen door slam close and looked to see Susan walking towards me; I waved and started to walk towards her. We met somewhere in the middle and embraced in a tight hug.

“This place really is beautiful!” Eric said as he walked beside me to our cabin
