Dunkin Donuts had the nerve to use that advertisement. How could they have thought this would not be damaging to their company? It is painfully obvious that this ad is pro-islamic extremists and encourages the mainstreaming of violence.

Dont agree? Well that is what Michelle Malkin believes:

It’s refreshing to see an American company show sensitivity to the concerns of Americans opposed to Islamic jihad and its apologists. Too many of them bend over backward in the direction of anti-American political correctness….

Fashion statements may seem insignificant, but when they lead to the mainstreaming of violence — unintentionally or not — they matter. Ignorance is no longer an excuse. In post-9/11 America, vigilance must never go out of style.

Yep. Dunkin Donuts pulled the ad because people were offended by Rachel Ray wearing that scarf.

They honestly pulled the ad. Seriously. I am not even kidding.

Why are people so fucking STUPID? WHY???!!

(I should have warned you to watch out for the land mines of sarcasm at the beginning of this post)

Yeah, that iced coffee looks like its going to explode any minute now because she looks just like a terrorist

That blogger is a complete and total moron.

its nice to see that the talking heads in this country still hold sway over the dim wits of america.

IT'S A FUCKING SCARF YOU FUCKING MORONS!!!

THIS COUNTRY IS IN DEEP SHIT AND ALL YOU CARE ABOUT IS A GOD DAMNED SCARF???

~sigh~

Agreed, but the blogger isnt the reason I am going crazy over this, there are always crazy people like that... but Dunkin Donuts actually pulled the ad... that really worries me.

Well, unfortunately, in this day and age, anyone that doesn't want to dry hump the Patriot Act can be construed as a terrorist...

i.e. - "In post-9/11 America, vigilance must never go out of style."

The fact that Dunkin Donuts pulled the ad is them being "safe" when, imho, no action was even necessary.

and she is the one that said "ignorance is no longer an excuse". It just completely baffles me.

This actually made the evening news. #-o

Yes, turns out that whole 30 minute meal thing was just a rouse for Rachel Ray and her pro-Islamic sympathizing ways....

She wormed her way into our hearts, into our kitchens, and onto our Triscuits boxes. That whore.

I better throw that box of crackers away post haste ! Hmm... I don't like the looks of that Easy-Cheese either... I think I hear it ticking...

Plus, terrorists don't hang around trees that bloom. They are grown in deserts with no brush. ](*,)

The whole ad is a farce!!! Burn it!

(seriously, I still can't believe Dunkin pulled it. Grow a spine and stick up for yourself. Although, like Harke said, is there such a thing as bad press? )

Rachael wore one because she read that if she did an ad in defense of Islam, she'd get extra virgins in Paradise.

Haha. We are some of the craziest bitches are we? I love your guys posts.

Seriously, when has a scarf ever had anything to do with being a part of an Islamic extremist or a push to support terrorism? I see people wear fucking scarves every winter almost. The media doesn't have nothing else better to talk about since we are indulged with politics and least stuff that goes on in the world. This is totally ridiculous. Why out of all people does it have to be Rachael Ray?

I didn't see people point their fingers at somebody last winter and yelled out "terrorist". I sell scarves like that at my store and nobody hasn't thought anything about it. We have become so stupid and are taking stuff to another level when it comes to stupid crap like that! I can see why the rest of the world laughs at us and then calls us "Stupid Americans". Pathetic.

Anyone who was offended by that ad is too stupid to a functioning member of society. They are unnecessary piles of flesh.

I agree with those who wonder when Dunkin' Donuts is going to get some balls and tell these idiots that a scarf does not equal Islam does not equal terrorist.

This is only a blip on what will become probably the ugliest election in US history.

Swiftboats anyone?

Any sort of religious connotation has no place in advertising. Right or wrong, it inflames prejudices many Americans in this country still hold. I haven't seen the ad but she DOES look rather weird wearing it.

wow, are we THAT sensitive?? first of all islam DOES NOT equal terrorist. second, when does a scarf=islam
You can see that level of sensitivity on this board.

Wow, first that blogger is a complete idiot. Someone needs to revoke her right to exist.

This is so stupid, and whats with Dunkin pulling this ad? This wouldn't have gotten farther than that idiot bloggers blog.

Although, it is very nicely laid out.

told you, you could find that level of sensitivity on this board.

You know, I doubt Rachel Ray wakes up in the morning and says "you know, I want to - as a christian women - insert muslim undertones in this ad I am shooting today. Why not!

I'd bet you a million dollars she didn't even know the style was originally middle eastern.

Ugh this is like the Cablevision IO ad that was pulled because the American flag was "degraded." if you look reeeeeally closely one of the pirates maaayy have stepped on a beach towel with a US flag pattern. Such blatant disrespect to the US can't be tolerated!! LOL

The ad:

Edit: They didn't pull the ad entirely. They had to change the designs on the towels so they didn't represent flags. It's so stupid, I know, but here's the less offensive version (sorry for the poor quality, couldn't find better):

yeah i lost a friend to Oprah. he called her fat on the phone. Homeland Security alerted her once they heard it.
