Whether or not it's good science remains to be seen. But to understand something properly, you must at least have differing perspectives of the time and place, and conditions in which something occured to make your mind up. Recieving something as blind faith requires you to reject all plausible non-supernatural explanations so that you can embrace the supernatural phenomena of immaculate conception. If it can happen 2000 years ago, then immaculate conception could occur today. If a woman nowadays claimed she conceived a male child by immaculate conception today, she'd be either examined by psychologicsts, or social services would move in to investigate.

It is not a matter of good science, or bad science.

Rational human reasoning rejects such a phenomenon, as contrary to all that human logic is able to fathom.

This topic focusses entirely on the birth of the person anointed by The Creator, and thus in faith terms should be considered as a one off.

I tried to think of a more descriptive argument to express my point of view, but I thought those 4 words were satisfactory. especially when the argument at hand has been beaten to death many times in the past.

I make no claims. I have simply stated that this phenomenon cannot be approached from a scientific viewpoint. It is a merely a matter of faith. There is no way that human reasoning can fathom such a belief.

You will appreciate that these Jewish opinions, are based upon spurious myths that have no scholarly support outside those Jewish groups.

Judaism rejects Jesus of Nazareth, as The Messiah. Thus the opinions that you have quoted, should be noted in the light of their propagator's beliefs.

As I have already stated if we are to seek a rational explanation, then we should look no further than Joseph impregnating Mary. He was Mary's betrothed and probably her admirer from an early age.

"Faith" is the old, reliable fall back answer to everything for the religious right. No one can question them or their beliefs or the truly fantastic fiction created in the Bible because "it's a matter of faith."

I call bullshit. I always have. I always will. I'm glad I'm not the only one. The Virgin Birth of Jesus is the greatest lie ever told. It's so perfect, too. It's not like there was any way of proving it 2000 years ago, nor could anyone attempt to use it again.
