Only because I bought so many at the time- I'll ask again. Does anybody remember the old Higgins monthly publication called STARS magazine? And does anyone know where to find images from that mag back in the early to mid-80's?

gsdx, how good is the DVD re-mastered quality of the classic Laguna Pacific stuff? I love the old William Higgins movies, but I've read in the past that Chi Chi LaRue's Channel 1 puts out grainy, degraded dups and just tacks "newly re-mastered!" logos on the package. I've been very hesitant to invest in new prints because of this concern. Your thoughts?

I've bought several of the Channel 1 re-releases of William Higgins' Pre-Condom Classics. The quality is actually quite good. They are a worthy replacement for the VHS versions.

"Boys of San Francisco" was originally shot on film but the print is clear.

"Good Times Coming" was also shot on film, and has a music track, but no sound track (it was not one of the higher quality productions)

Brother Load is incredible! it's as clear as can be, and Bobby and Paul Madison were never hotter!

My only complaint about them is the five minute "infomercial" for Channel 1 at the start of each DVD.

80's porno was so much better than the crap today....today's guys are tatooed from head to foot, look as if they have not bathed in six months, and seem bored. Look at the differences in the climax scenes....today you get a few drops...in the 80's you got a real blast.....I think the producers of 80's porn really understood what was a turn-on...not as much today.
